Lee beat both Zain and Yianni down here at the OTT.  You remember Nick Lee??  He's the guy you said would finish 2nd if the Ivies were in the ships.

Yeah, I know, its two different styles of wrestling but Lee made it look easy over your boy Yianni.

PSU wrestling stole the show on NCAA Championship Saturday and the NLWC was on fire this weekend. Cael is building something really special in State College. I can’t imagine any other place a premier youth wrestler would aspire to be?

To your point Kid, in the last month, Nick Lee beat Seabass and Eirman in folk style and Zain and Yianni in freestyle. Not too shabby. Nolf finished third as well, his only loss was to Dake who appears to be on a completely different level at that weight.

@lionbacker99. I was wondering if these guys get paid? I’m assuming they do because it has to be very expensive to travel plus there has to be a time where you get on with your life and career. How long can you go because Dake graduated a few years ago if it’s the same guy that wrestled for Cornell and it if this dude beat Jason Nolf I’m assuming it is? Happy Easter 99 hope you’re having a great day.

Happy Easter Southern! The Kid can probably explain OTC support much better than I can. The NLWC is a Resident Training Center, so yes, there is some form of financial support for these guys. They can compete for as long as they would like, I assume, however, there comes a time when the body no longer can hold up to this type of grinding activity. For instance, former PSU wrestler Frank Molinaro retired this weekend after failing to qualify this time around. He was a 2016 Olympic qualifier. You are correct, Kyle Dake went to Cornell. He beat Jordan Burroughs (Nebraska) to qualify. Burroughs was unstoppable for nearly a decade in International freestyle wrestling, but all good things must come to an end. David Taylor qualified for the Olympics by beating Bo Nickal. Thomas Gilman and Kyle Snyder, both competing and training with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club also qualified. The NLWC was well represented.

I was definitely wrong. Maybe Lee saw my post and got extra motivated. What surprised me the most was Zain’s disappointing performance. I wonder if Rutherford is considering retiring.

lol....Who is Rutherford??  Seems like every time you try to come off as the smartest guy in the room; you end up shooting yourself in the foot.
