Penn state played Indiana like a fiddle,  almost had them. Looks like a very much improved Offense. Grunk looks more confident.  So, Smith must be doing something right.

Southern,  there are many other teams in the same situation.  How many coaches were fired this season?  They should give Smith a chance,  JMO.  He knows the ropes, been with the program.  He seems like a cool dude.

@jimmy-v gotta get a win to put yourself in position to get these kinds of jobs when a HC has been fired and we’ve lost 3 straight games. I like Terry but we ain’t getting it done.

I ain’t happy with losing these games when all the defense needed to do is get the stop and finding ways to lose than win but I’ll will admit the defense did look better and they were getting to the QB and putting him on his ass. We just gotta get something going good and ain’t no better time than this weekend take all the frustration out on Michigan State that’s all the team can do and get the win. Water under the bridge because I want to be Jim Knowles biggest cheerleader it’s depressing hammering him after these losses. Maybe I’ve been a little impatient with the dude so water under the bridge we have 4 more games to win and hopefully to try and get something good going. Yes I know Jim Knowles don’t give a rats ass what I think of him but I do care what I think of him and I’m hoping we get this thing fixed.say we win these next 4 games and things start coming together if Penn St doesn’t get their man do they give Terry smith a year to see what happens and then get their man next year? IMO get your guy or don’t make a move if we win these next 4 games. Getting a tier 3 coach ain’t a splash and probably have a bad ending.Just wondering

Hey Pipe...When are we going to have those steaks, stogies and beers? I would find it fascinating to pick your brain regarding the current HC vacancy and what your strategy would be to bring in the right candidate...I am going to be heading your way next week...What day do you want to enjoy that steak?

Not true, there are many things you can look at in a loss and see improvement. Just losing and not learning from it isn't a good idea.... can't stick your head in the ground and not take anything away from the game because you still lost.

Really was an atypical year which puts coaching in question does it not?  I mean we play Oregon tough, lose to UCLA, NW, Iowa and effectively beat IU.  And equally effectively got beat by SUNJ at SHI_ Field.  I mean who really beat us other than OSU?  And yet we are 6-6.

Not acceptable to anyone except St Nick and his and JF's agent.

I am hoping MC is what he seems to be, a PSU Fit from a historical 409 culture, at least as close as you can come nowadays.  I don't like turning over coaches and I think a good team of good coaches that are empowered/trusted beats a team of all stars.  We will see.  Continuous Improvement and Process not 1-0.  Team, character, next man up... not keeping everybody happy.  Winning solves a lot of problems.

Not just in sports 😉

Why?  Because most people do not react correctly to losing.
