This is going to be a crazy finish if the Lion's can get it together this weekend and next. I am believing in Ohio State right now, but with one loss and the pressure off of staying undefeated, the Lion's may be a whole different team the rest of the season.
Looking at the top 10 teams, Penn State has a great chance to make it into the playoffs if they can win out. If I am correct, and as much as I want Minnisota to lose next week ( just because- LOL) we really need Minny to win out. That would most likely give Penn State three more ranked teams to play and if they win out, that would include wins over two top 10 teams. It would have to secure them a spot over the Big 12 and Pac 12....both of who would not have anywhere near the resume!
Obviously if Penn State would have run the table, they would be playing in the playoffs. But losing to Minnisota was NOT a deal breaker. Once they got past Iowa, MSU and UM, they could afford yesterdays loss as long as they win out...especially since Minny is NOW a top 10 undefeated team.
Got to get past Indiana this weekend. You know they are coming to Happy Valley thinking they can win now that they saw what Minny did. There is absolutley NO REASON this another trap game or let down! Indiana is w/o their starting QB and Penn State should be able to rattle the back up in front of a home crowd of 100K people! Penn State needs to win this game and then let it all hang out against the Buckeyes! I don't care if they get beat by 100 points as long as they play their best. I just hope Franklin doesn't pull some chess game match, but instead he cuts these kids loose against Ohio State!
Go State!
Yes we do... Not out of the realm of possibility.
Going undefeated against Iowa, Michigan and Michigan State was huge.
Can’t look past Indiana. I’ve been on a mission about this. Indiana fans are pumped because they are 7-2, their best effort and ranked in the top 25 in many years. They think they can win and if they do, just like Minnesota is a huge turning point in their program. It’s not like they will be challenging for a NC or Big10 title any time soon but do we really need them to compete for recruits? I just read they are in the mix for a 4* running back from Arizona that recently decommitted from Ohio State.
