Saturday should be a good test for the Lions.  On the road without several key players and first game of the season....against a BIG10 team and not some out of conference warm up team.  A 7 point spread has me wondering when the polls have Penn State ranked high with out playing one game this season.  My gut tells me some think Penn State has a good team but they need to see them play this first game before jumping on the band wagon.  I think it  all comes down to Clifford.  If he can be a leader like McSorley was, I think the team will be just fine.  McSorley brought a lot of energy and the team fed off him and progressed as the season went on.  If Clifford can move the ball down the field the first series and score, I think THAT will set the tone for the rest of season.  I know that sounds dumb, but I think there is still plenty of talent on that team and if they dominate Indiana right away, they will create great energy the first game butterflies will be gone!

Penn State 31

Indiana 3

GO STATE!!!!

Finally get to see some Big 10 football.  Honestly,  I believe it's going to be a sloppy season for all teams.  Missing players not only for Penn State but for many teams. Look what Covid did and look what effects it has. It's a shame. I'm expecting some miscues for both teams.  Indiana I believe is without many players.  Including their top defender I believe.  Penn state should take care of business in the second half and head back home 1-0.

I think it is going to be a tough game, Indiana has a solid team.  I have great hope that Ciarrocca will be good for Clifford's development.
