The powers at be ain't this quiet for nothing...The lid is on this for a reason...Whoever they hired has already signed an agreement in principle and is currently coaching a playoff bound team or an NFL team...Whoever this hire is will no doubt be a big name coach with a lot of juice...Most importantly he will have the backing of the big money guys which is something that Franklin never seemed to have...A part of me still believes it could be Cignetti...

@been-there-ii i agree with you my brother lol

FD my man, that’s sounds like something that can happen because it’s hard to believe they’d just sit and not have a plan and let 2 recruiting classes just be destroyed and have no plan. I’m thinking it’s an NFL guy.

@psujoe I hardly ever agree with anything that dude says. That’s my opinion it’s definitely not his. He thinks DeBeor is a grandslam get. There’s only 2 or 3 grand slams out there  the rest are just good coaches and DeBeor is definitely not a grandslam.  A grandslam is Nick Saban, Kirby Smart and Urban Meyer.

Urban Meyer is a disgraced old man at this point, I don't want him in State College grabbing some 20 year olds ass.

@roaminglion I don’t know what to believe with that but my point is there’s on 3 grandslam coaches out there and he’s one of ‘em imo. Dabo might be too if he’d get better in the transfer portal.

Well I can tell you what to believe with that Southern...He got fired at Florida because he was having an affair with a coed and his wife found out about it...I know...Because my daughter was friends with the girl he was screwing around with...I told you guys this years ago before it leaked when Ohio State hired him...I was shocked Ohio State hired him and I know they had babysitters watching him and they had a clause for his immediate dismissal and breach of contract if he broke any of his morality clauses...I still think there is a good chance they buy out Cignetti and pay the 15 million to Indiana and make him the highest paid coach in college football...Remember they were going to eat almost 50 million to fire Franklin...They are still eating 9 million...what's another 15 million to buy out the guy you want? I will say it again...If a school really wants to lock up their coach they make the buyout 70 million or more...That is prohibitive money...15 million? peanuts in todays big time college football market place....I don't know what Elko's buyout is but when I find out that will tell me how serious A&M is in retaining him as well...Ole limp wrist's from Georgia's buyout is over 100 million so Georgia is committed to him...15 million buyout? get serious...

All I will say is Penn State knew they weren't paying Franklin 50 million. His contract had a clause that he was required to look for another job and that we would pay the difference. I don’t think anyone doubted his disire to keep coaching somewhere else.

@roaminglion

How much friggin money does he need?  Why not sit at home with the wifey & kid living the retired good life.  Keep going on interviews, just give the wrong answers so you don't get hired.  Live large off PSU's buy out!
