Congrats... finally got past Bama. Both starting WRs out, both starting cornerbacks out, 2 offensive linemen out, and Alabama still gave Georgia all they could handle.
If Georgia couldn't beat them this year, I don't think they ever would.

That's basic Football 101. Players get injured. It's a brutal sport. No guarantees. That's why you have depth. Next man up. I'm glad Georgia won.

Lmao, yeah it's very common to have 1/4th of your starters injured.
All credit to Georgia, but there was a reason Alabam's offense was not as good as the first game.
Saw two extremely well coached teams tonight.
The big 10, big 12 and PAC have a lot of work to do if they want to stay relevant in football. The further you get behind the longer it takes to catch up.

Season over. Put away your excuse book.

Once again people can't tell the difference between expressing a reason based in reality and an excuse.
@forum-titan That was about as decisive as a title game can get..Congrats to the Dawgs...they put ball in end zone 4 times to Bama's once, and that was a gift fumble at the 15...Defense was amazing , pressuring Young all night
Georgia was best team ,and most consistent all yr, only fair they won the national championship

Holding Alabama to those FG's was huge. Pretty dam good defense forcing Alabama to kick those. Smart coaching by Georgia to draw the PI's. Soon after, Georgia took their heart out of the game.
@forum-titan it’s hard to beat good team 2 times. I’m not a fan of rematches.

I saw on TV yesterday they said top 5 rematches have happened only 5 times in college football, and all 5 times the team that won the first time lost the rematch:
1960: #3 Ole Miss lost to #1 LSU, then #2 Ole Miss beat #3 LSU in Sugar Bowl
1997: #1 Florida lost to #2 FSU, then #3 Florida beat #1 FSU in Sugar Bowl
2011: #2 Alabama lost to #1 LSU, then #2 Alabama beat #1 LSU in BCS Championship
2020: #1 Clemson lost to #4 Notre Dame, then #3 Clemson beat #2 Notre Dame in ACC Championship
2021: #1 Georgia lost to #3 Alabama, then #3 Georgia beat #1 Alabama in National Championship Game
Interesting state, and definitely shows how hard it is to beat an elite team twice.
