While it would have been nice to have the depth, I'm glad that our school didn't lower it's standards just to accept a graduate transfer. Ultimately college is a place of higher learning, and graduate school has an even more elevated standing in education with Master's degrees.
I'm all for giving someone who is on the cusp the benefit of the doubt when it comes to undergrads from high school... maybe they underachieved, weren't pushed, went to a bad public school, etc. and can shine given the second chance. However, I feel graduate transfers should be held to higher standards. They had their chance to show dedication to studies as an undergrad. If they didn't take them seriously, underachieved, or just didn't do well then quite plainly they don't deserve to enter a quality Master's program.
Is this the kid from Florida State? If so I hate it because we’ve lost a few kids through the transfers and ain’t got nothing in return. I just don’t see the upside losing all these guys. Can we afford to lose anymore? I understand trimming the fat but we’ve lost quite a few good football players.

If he can't get into graduate school, he doesn't belong on the team.
