Bottom line is we aren’t making plays to win the game. Doesn’t make any difference if you play good all game, if you can’t make the plays that ends the game with a win and we did it again today. USC, Michigan St 2 times, NW are a few games that I can remember we can’t catch the ball on defense to end the game with a win, I’m talking about making a play to end the game with an Int. It’s killing us. James Franklin should’ve give Roberson a chance the QB play couldn’t have been any worse. Clifford was hurt and wasn’t the same.
@southern-psu-fan 1st interception should have been a touchdown, #13 should have had an interception, #9 should have had an interception and #1 should have had an interception that ended the game. If I were a coach, all of them would be hating life until they did something great, grand and glorious in a game.

If you are pointing to a missed INT in OT as the reason we lost, I just don't know what to say to you.
We didn't lose because of one play, we lost because our OLine is completely useless. FULL STOP. If we had even an average running game we're 7-0. These guys are bums who couldn't block the backside of a dumpster.
Clifford isn't healthy and it's exposed the line as frauds... and it has to be squarely put on coaching at this point. Missing on recruiting, missing on coaching them up, etc. etc. etc but the line is absolutely the reason can't take the next step. They suck, and when we need to lean on them rather than cover for them it becomes a sh*tshow.

I dont care about 1 play, I care about why it came down to that in the first place.
Franklin has proven he is incapable of fixing the Oline at this point. They SUCK and I am tired of promises the will develop

When it’s crunch time you either step up and make a play or you don’t.
To make matters worse, I taped the game, came home, started watching it b4 the real game was over. Right before 1st 2pt conversion try by PSU my taped game ended - did not record any of 3rd OT. Had to launch ESPN to find out who won. Roam is right, O line flat out sucks and the new OC is not calling plays designed to work when an oline is struggling. It's the If first you don't succeed, try try try try try try try try try try try try try try again. The announcer was even saying it all game long .. when they stacked the box on D, is when Penn State tried running. When 6 dropped back for coverage, is when Clifford tried to throw. Either it's Clifford and his "read" in the RPO is way out of whack, or it's the OC. At this point, I would be fine with Franklin heading to USC - this hasn't been Penn State Football in quite some time.
@lakerie exactly lake that’s why I was calling for Roberson in OT the kid can run and he’s good enough to throw especially if they’re going to let #44 throw. I believe Roberson would’ve won that game if they would’ve give him a chance. QB play couldn’t have been any worse man, Clifford was injured
