AS LONG AS THEY BEAT WISCONSIN!!!! They lose that game.....be lucky to get 85,000 to the Ball State opener. Might get 100K to the Auburn if they promote a White Out and are 1-1 at that point.
Got to take care of Wisconsin, get the heck back to Beaver Stadium healthy and see what happens from here.
GO STATE!!!
Real fans will show up regardless of the winning or losing of the Wisconsin game. I know real fans are not in the majority anymore. Most fans are behind the team win or tie, and tying is pretty hard to do these days.

THIS
This is by far one of the trickiest schedules I have seen in quite sometime. Call me crazy, but if they don't have their act together, they could go 1-5 to start. Think Ball State is coming into Happy Valley just for a nice pay day? I don't think so. I will give them Villanova, they lose THAT game....let's just not even go there!
Real fans? Real fans will sweep last year under the rug and move on. Like I have said, what happened in Covid stays in Covid. I truly believe they are returning a lot of good players, good enough to start 7-0, but I am REALLY concerned with this Wisconsin game.
They haven't beaten a top 10 team since 2016 when the beat #2 Ohio State and #6 Wisconsin. I will be at the Ball State game, like REAL A FAN will do even if they lose to Wisconsin. But I can't stress enough how important a win over Wisconsin is going to be when I look at the next 5 games after that one.
Here is my deal for you!! You get us to 1-0 and I will take you to 7-0 and we can both sit back and see what happens in the Shoe!

Wisconsin, BS, Auburn and Indiana. That's a tough stretch. Villanova is a cake walk game. Make sure you have some sweets with you for VanillaNova.
Take 'em 1 game at a time. That goes for 'Nova Too! A real fan keeps things cool when the heat rises.
Here's my take of the schedule:
Wisconsin - Overrated. Lost their QB, defense won't be nearly as good as it's been in the past. We should win, but being in Madison is an X factor.
Ball State - Who the heck knows, beat no one last year. San Jose State? I guess they were ranked but neither team played anyone of significance. Maybe they are good? Who knows. We should win.
Auburn - New coach, new OC, shaky QB, and they come to the Beav. We should win this game, they are maybe the 5th best team in the SEC West.
Villanova - Obvious
Indiana - Overrated. Their QB is mostly dual threat runner who is coming off an ACL tear and may not even play. We barely lost last year and played AWFUL. Good coach, but I think they fall back to earth a bit, I just don't see us losing unless Clifford is terrible.
Iowa - Of all the early schedule games, this one would be my pick for the toughest. They don't lose a lot from last year, and it's in Iowa which has been a tough spot for us.

I love your attitude.
So does this mean I have to buy a cellphone & a plan to use my season tickets ???
@roaminglion Exactly the way I see it Roam. I think Clifford will have a good year.

Yes, and don’t forget to print out your Mapquest maps to get there.
If this is true, I'm out. I have not needed one in my first 67 years of life although back on July 3, 2012 while I was at the grocery store it would have been nice to call my sister & ask her what kind of chips she wanted me to bring to the picnic. If i'm hunting, fishing, camping, doing yard work, out for a walk or going for a long drive, why do I need one. Whatever happened to just being alone with your own thoughts? When people ask me for my cell # and I tell them I don't have a cell phone they look at me like i'm a dinosaur. No i'm not Amish because even a lot of them have cell phones. But never say never, who knows, maybe after 67 more years I will decide I need one!!!!!!
Picture this. Out on the Sarasota Bay, winds calm, little humidity and I have a live well full off bait. Barometric pressure was JUST perfect and I caught a Red Fish and Snook. ALL I needed was a Sea Trout to get the Grand Slam Club recognition. My wife called me 5 times and I did not answer BECAUSE I was going hard, chumming bait out on the flats and throwing line constantly trying to get that Trout. FINALLY, after about 50 throws, I land a small Trout and completed my task. I see the missed messages from my wife, call to tell her MY news and to see what she wanted....and she went off on me for not calling back earlier!! LOL....Something like, WHAT if it was an emergency and I needed your help? Hmmm, not much I could do in the middle of Bay at that point!
Now I ask, what was more important. Me catching that Trout or calling my wife back who wanted to know what time I would be back so she could get ready to go dinner or make something at the condo instead!
I HATE CELL PHONES! I am on mine all day long for work, so I sure as hell don't need to be on one in the middle of the BAY when I am fishing!!!
GO STATE!!
PS: AND, my wife LOVES fishing with me! She was out the day before with me and she landed several nice size Snook. SHE KNEW BETTER!! LOL
I can't stand cell phones either. I'll admit, several years ago I caved in and got a "flip phone" to use in the case of an emergency because of my wife's health issues. I still have it. I'm harassed constantly by Verizon to upgrade to the latest "smart phone". I refuse - my flip phone is smart enough for me! I don't have an issue with PSU season tickets. I gave mine up when my alma mater screwed JoePa. I'll admit, I'm a dinosaur as well as a card carrying JoeBot.
Without a doubt, TROUT !!!!!
I've found that the easiest way to get away from most people regarding cell phones is to turn them off. I know this sounds like a "no duh" moment, but there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between ignoring a call and turning the phone off. Most people know if the call doesn't ring at all and goes straight to voicemail, you're unreachable. Whether it be out of range, battery died, turned the phone off, etc... you aren't ignoring them, just not receiving the call.
