Just saw over on Statecollege.com that he has decided to return to Penn State for 2020 season and not entering the NFL draft.  Great news!!!!

I am happy for this team, glad they hit the 10 win season but I am still not  sure Franklin has what it takes to go from NY6 Bowl games to the playoffs.  My goodness, the Rutgers QB is like the 3rd or 4th QB this year that had their biggest games of the year against Penn State...Buffalo, Indiana and Rutgers just to name a few.  And against a defense that was supposed to be one of the best in the country. The defensive line is NOT disuptive enough and the offense is just dreadful at times.  This is coaching, not the lack of talent.  Franklin needs to do some soul searching and consider bringing in some new blood on the coaching staff.  I thought I would be in the car mid way through the 3rd quarter heading home and instead I froze my butt off waiting for the Offense to put todays game away!!!  This program is good, but NOT Elite and they will not be Elite until they start winning the big games too.  10-2 is going to be the best they do under JF until JF makes some changes and quit's thinking his way is the right way....like the 4 running back thing he did all season.  What, hardly see Rick Slade the past two games and then out of no where, when the game is tight, he brings him in for a series or two and then he disapperars??? There is no rhyme or reason to his decisions and this is troublesome to me.  Elite prgrams and Elite coaches are consistant and JF is not!

GO STATE!!!

I agree about the rotation of RB’s because I think we’d be more consistent with the running game  if the same RB was on the field unless he needs a breather. I don’t like QB or RB rotation and I learned that from the greatest Joe Paterno. The offense was more consistent running the ball with Barkley and boobie because they were the guys that got 85% of the snaps. They must  see something in practice that we don’t see I guess. As for 10 wins we played a much tougher schedule than Alabama and they won 10 games so a 10 win season is really good. We had a chance to win both games we lost a stupid penalty and a drop cost us a chance to win but this is problems all teams have that win 10 or 11 games not just us we just watch all the games so it’s easy to point out why we lost. Alabama lost last night because they couldn’t  get the stop they needed on defense and they couldn’t execute the plays they needed to late in the game to get the win, false starts and having to many guys on the field late in the game when it was crunch time killed the Tides chance to maybe win, it happens to all teams. We need to get meaner on the DL because gettin pushed down field and letting teams get first downs when we’ve got ‘em stopped has to stop and I’m sure James Franklin sees the same thing we do on that. Journey Brown picked up his game and it’s time a few others do too especially on the OL and DL. I really hate to jump on the defense because they usually don’t give up a bunch of points but there’s time I just scratch my head and can’t believe what I just seen lol, they just gotta get meaner and play with an attitude. I know they are tired and I believe they’ll be well rested for the bowl game and I look for ‘em to take care of business and bring home a Rose Bowl trophy 🏆 😁 it was a really good season but let’s make it a great season with a bowl win baby!

After last year’s disappointing performance against Kentucky, a dominant performance would help secure Coach Franklin’s legacy as an excellent coach. A decisive victory can also become a springboard to 2020 which by all accounts promises to be something special for the Penn State football team.

Cool opinion...

There are so many things wrong it that we can label it fiction.

I feel so sorry for you that you were forced to stay and support your team for four quarters.

Elite fans stay for the whole game regardless of the score, mediocre fans leave before the game is over!

Happy Holidays my friend, I agree it’s like leaving a race with 10 laps left lol. If I spend time and money on a game or race I’m staying till the end plus I like watching all the celebrations if they are some. I take the next day off work so I don’t have to worry about traffic. Even if my man wrecks or my team is losing I stay until the end navylion. 10-2 brother I’ll take it

Easy to say from the Sunshine State!!! Bet you were warm!!

Just for the record, MT NITTANY HAS NEVER left a game before it was over! Had my 80 year old father with me and I gave him the option to leave early if he caught too cold....he stayed!  About 45 years ago he took me to a Phillies game, don't remeber who they played, the Phillies were down a bundle in the 8th           ( maybe 8 or 10 runs ) and we left.  It was double header, I do remeber that.  The Phillies came back and won in the bottom of 9th and that was the LAST time we ever left any sporting event before it was over!

My point on the Rutgers game was that I never thought we would be sitting there in the 3rd quarter concerned about an upset and waiting for the Lion's to unleash on one of those 28 point quarters. Good gosh, Penn State is a force and should be sitting at 11-1.

GO STATE!

LOL was just messing with ya!

I am in the sunshine state now but, was born and raised in NEPA Wilkes Barre - Scranton area. No stranger to the cold! Also spent 4 6 month deployments in Antarctica at McMurdo Station and the South Pole. Navylion knows the cold!!! By the way, it's going to be in the 30's tomorrow morning here in Jacksonville!!

WE ARE!!

Heading down to my condo on LBK next week....how about turning up the heat so I can fish!! Was down two weeks ago and it was like 50 with the windchill factor...didn't catch a thing.  It got up to 72 the next day and caught one nice Snook and one nice Red.  Fish are coming back pretty good in the bay, been catching lots of Snook this year.  No red tide, so hopefully next spring it will be back or close to being back to normal.

Been watching Life Below Zero, would love to live off the grid. But everytime I go to LBK, I lose that interest real quick!!! LOL

Go State!
