This is just part of college football today and this is exactly why you need to be 2 or 3 deep with starters. Good teams will still win even if guys get hurt or sit out a bowl game. We’ll definitely find out in the Outback bowl how good James Franklin has been recruiting. Next man up baby!

Been saying that for some time. Unfortunately I have my doubts as a realist. I think if JF gets out of the way of MY and MD, then there’s a chance for going 2 deep easily and possibly a 3 for some positions.  Between players hitting the draft in 3 years, the transfer portal and NIL deals which could keep some players an extra year, all that creates some interesting scenarios that coaching is gonna have to evolve with.

100% correct especially about the evolution of coaching. Anyway, I understand this and I don’t find fault, but I really don’t like what college sports has become. I think college football is about to lose fans.
