I don't know about anyone else, but I'm interested to see what Cephas does at Kansas State. If he has a big year, well then... that's surely a sign that something was terribly wrong with the OC or QB here last year.
QB in big games was the problem imo. Hopefully that changes with a year under his belt as a starter.
The passing game was a problem in most games. The only difference is we couldn't overcome it against better teams. He threw for 208 yards or less in 9 games and rarely took any shots downfield: 6.7 yards per attempt... not good.QB in big games was the problem imo. @roaminglion it was probably a combination of OC, WR’s and QB. Allar played terrible in the bowl game but when he did have good throws the receivers dropped the ball a few times. I trust James Franklin and he did fire the OC and we got new WR’s so we’ll definitely see if the moves were the right ones. Hearing what Homer said and my son saying the same thing I’m feeling James Franklin will be right again. Most of the moves James Franklin has made has been spot on.
Could be, or maybe it was the coaching in big games. Maybe I'm all wet, but it seems like we're going into the big ones playing too close to the vest and trying not to lose instead of being creative with play calling and taking them by surprise.

@southern-psu-fan, I was ready to award you an upvote until I read "I trust James Franklin." While Franklin has shown a willingness to remove coaches, it's unclear where the fault lies. I do not think that Franklin has the ability to create a culture of selflessness and dedication to the Team because he has greedily grabbed the cash whenever he has had the opportunity. Franklin's contract should never have been extended.
@tae-buetel we talked about that here. I would’ve never given him that kind of contract. Since he got that contract we went 11-2 winning the Rose Bowl and 10-3 losing the peach Bowl. As for the Peach Bowl we lost both the OC and DC and had half the team sit out but that’s part of it but we still had a pretty good year. IMO James Franklin is 2 for 2 under this new contract big picture he never let us turn into Miami or Nebraska and I’m so thankful for that and we’ve been a top 10 team most of the time. It’s definitely time to start winning big time game though.
Tae, I’m one of those fans that can love the head coach and want to choke the chit out of him sometimes at the same time 😂 I always try to look at the big picture but I do get frustrated sometimes lol
