Let's play some football!
Am I the only one that has butterflies 😂
Not sure whether my headache is from dehydration from cutting the grass earlier or from stress from the game!!
I love wins and I've just about come to the point of where I don't care who wins as long as it is a straight up game. This team is interesting to start off with; one kicker; no running game as such; hellish defense; questionable play calling here and there; what else?
Honestly I don't see wins against Auburn, OSU etc if the O doesn't get in consistent gear, I know, its just the first game but...And if that doesn't happen the D can't play this type of game every game IMO. Just being realistic.

It’s easy to be critical of the offense in this game for sure. However we can’t overlook the fact that penn state did have 250 yards of offense in the second half against a supposedly very good defense. Clifford even missed some easy throws. It is something to build on as the season progresses. The bottom line is that we beat a good team on the road who most had us losing. I do see a win against Auburn in a whiteout and OSU didn’t look like world beaters against manny.
I'm encouraged by the fact that Yurcich didn't panic, made some adjustments and got the O moving in the 2nd half. I think he needs to work with Cliff more on his mechanics and get him away from throwing off his back foot so often. The thing that does concern me is the middle of the O line. The guards and center were getting pushed around pretty good. As far as the defense, what can I say that's not obvious. They played lights out and have the potential to be a great unit if they can sustain that effort as the season rolls on. I know I badmouth him a lot, but Pry has done a good job with these guys. I was disappointed in our kicker. Ok, you miss a short FG, but don't miss on extra point boots. All in all, a great win over a legitimate team on the road in a tough environment. Go Lions - beat Ball State!
