Iowa and Iowa State bands getting continually harassed during the rivalry game has both schools wondering if they should still play it.
Hard to know exactly what happened here, although I have no doubt the Cyclone fans went way over the line. It was obviously a poor choice for the Hawkeye band to exit where they did.
If Iowa State loses this annual game, they pretty much lose their raison d'etre.
I’m as competitive as anybody but I’ve never understood why people want to destroy property or do violence over sports regardless who the teams are....get a life man!!!
On the a Facebook group WE ARE, many of the anti Pitt posts were disrespectful and beyond fun. Unfortunately for many athletics is out of control and has gone beyond a planned educational experience. Many high schools have discontinued rivalry games. It will be a sad day if colleges start doing it because drunk kids behave badly.
