If Texas and Oklahoma go to the SEC, where would that leave everyone else?

Big Ten? Fine, no reason to panic or add school just because. Be picky and patient.

ACC? Not great, because their TV contract SUCKS and is locked in for 15 years. Their schools will look at the SEC and Big Ten with envy, both make double the money.

Big 12? Will be dead as a big conference. On par with the Mountain West and Ameican Athletic Conference, with which it may poach schools from or even merge with.

PAC 12? Will have teams from the Big 12 begging to join.

And we have another B1G addition rumor: https://victorybellrings.com/2021/07/25/west-virginia-big-ten-penn-state/?utm_campaign=FanSided+Daily&utm_source=FanSided+Daily&utm_medium=email

To be perfectly honest I  would absolutely love adding West Virginia, I just didn't think the Big 10 would ever go for it because of WVA's academics.

From a football and basketball standpoint, they are a great fit. What a phenomenal end of the year rival the Mountaineers would be for us, while Maryland can go play Rutgers.

Also, it has the added benefit of sticking it once again to Pitt.

@roaminglion Always liked WV better than Pitt & yep, it would be fun to stick it to the latter, once more, for old time sake. Never had an issue w/ MD until the "Hand Shake" incident. Rutgers can slowly ride off into the sunset for all I care.

Personally, I have absolutely no use for the mountaineers.  Their fans are absolutely the most ignorant I have encountered. If anyone has ever attended a game in Morgantown, you know what I mean.  It's been said that it's due to too much inbreeding!

I've never been to Morgantown Bob, but I'm thinking you paint an accurate picture.

I've been there and that was not my experience... though I did get a kick out of seeing several couch bonfires.

I still have the receipt from the body shop for the $1600 damages to the paint job on my PSU custom conversion van!  Came out after the game and it was sprayed with mountaineer yellow.  In addition to profane verbal abuse from their fans while walking into the stadium, several of their younger 'eers tried to get physical with chest bumping and shoving.  Once other PSU fans came over to our group and they saw they were outnumbered, they beat feet pretty quickly!  Couldn't get served at the concession stand because the student workers toatally ignored antone wearing PSU Blue & White.  The only consolation was that we beat them 40-26 (1992).
