I said before the season that this team would go as far as Clifford could take us. Well, after the last three weeks I am not concerned about him or the passing game anymore. The OLine is getting better and showed good pass protection.
However, now I am saying this: This team will need to get better on OLine run blocking, specifically the Guards and Center. If they can get better in the trenches, we will be an elite team. Right now there is work to do, and they have looked better every week... so I am hopeful.
Tackles seem fine, but those middle 3 are getting no push right now
I like our RB’s but I don’t see any of ‘em playing on Sunday yet. Clifford has picked up his game he played his butt off. I believe we can get to the QB but these late blitz just ain’t working but the bottom line is they got the stops when we needed it. The defense imo is still playing awesome they kicked butt tonight. Put Cain in the wildcat and leave 44 at TE 😂 great win today I knew it would be a dog fight.
Is it a fair evaluation that Auburn's goal was to stop the run and take their chances that Clifford would not have a good day. He had a good day, the line gave him time and he hit a bunch of different receivers again. And while they tried to stop the run we were reasonably effective when it was not obvious we were running.
Now that Clifford has shown a good game against a different quality defense maybe the running will open up more.
Lots of football to be played. Iowa, OSU, and I don't think the Michigan teams van be overlooked. But if the stars align itbbis doable.

I agree with you assessment 100% Roam...There is nothing more to add...HOWEVER I have hope...I think the OLine is improving from week to week and that improvement will need to continue if they are going to advance...
