So the CFP says they won't punish teams for losing conference championships.
So Alabama loses, but stays at #9. Okay, that tracks to what they said. HOWEVER... they absolutly punished BYU because Miami passed them.
Finally you see what I’ve been seeing for 10 years 😂
If the SEC champs had 5 losses they’d have a team in the playoffs even if they had to change the rules during the year. The CFP committee will never leave the SEC champs out.
If Duke isn’t in no team from the ACC should be in.
The SEC would never have a 5 loss champion, so that point is moot. They aren't stupid enough to have the ridiculous tie-breaker scenarios the ACC used.If the SEC champs had 5 losses they’d have a team in the playoffs even if they had to change the rules during the year. The CFP committee will never leave the SEC champs out.
@roaminglion I was just trying to make a point with a little sarcasm but I could see the SEC champs having 3 losses especially with paying players and the transfer portal because it’s getting harder to win. We still don’t know what’s going to happen with this 10 years down the road we might have 40 teams that have a chance to win the NC. When you level the money out more teams get competitive. It’s a good thing.
