Announced he is gay, becoming the first active NFL player to do so. Glad he felt comfortable enough to come out and be proud of who he is.

I can't wait for the day that no one cares about it, and being gay isn't something people feel they have to hide.

Live your best life Carl.

Kudos to Carl. Great Penn State player. Started as a walk on, or run on.

I could care less about who sleeps with who. I could care less who comes out just live your life but stay a out of mine unless I want you in it. Not being mean just wish people would mind their own business when it comes to who sleeps with who but at the same time don’t throw your way of thinking down my throat. Another thing is don’t criticize gay people as you walk out of the strip joint 😂 just play football Carl I could care less who you sleep with.

Well said Southern.  I'm not into "gay pride", "straight pride", or any of the other current social issue "prides".  The only thing that matters a ratz behind to me is my Penn State pride!

I agree with both you and southern, but unfortunately we still live during a time where we need to call attention to it. No different than Columbus day, which was observed as a way to celebrate Italians when they were severely mistreated in this country. St. Patrick's Day... again, a holiday to celebrate the pride of being Irish became more popular here during the 1700-1800s when they were treated terribly.

Of course, we know these holidays as just normal celebrations... but they were mainly popularized, in essence, as pride celebrations.

I know what you're saying, Roam, but please don't count me in with the "we" that have a need to call attention to it.  A lot of the people calling attention to it are "woke" and want to tear down Columbus's statues because he was a colonial racist.  As far as St Patrick, some believe why have a day to honor him since if there is no God, there can't be any saints, LOL.  Carl was a very good football player and I recognize him for his talents.  However, his gayness has no bearing on his football prowess, one way or the other.

Carl Nassib said he’s a private person and the way he’s handled this so far makes me believe him. he’s just like most people out there, he wants to be left alone. These woke punks are a VERY small percentage of this country it’s the media that try’s to make them look bigger than they really are.

Not just the media, a lot of "woke" politicians too!

Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day and Columbus was not the person the woke folks are making him out to be. I am glad the stigma of being gay is slowly eroding.

I still am not sure if transgender females should compete against females.

They should not IMO, even Caitlin Jenner thinks trans women competing against females is ridiculous.

The most important thing to me as a Father is that my children are happy!! I can only imagine his family feels the same way.  People who joke and point fingers at this type of news don't realize that they probably have their own sexuality issues!

Go State!

@mtnittanylion. I’m going to keep this very short but I’m sure y’all get my drift. When the hypocrites caught the woman in adultery they brought the woman to Jesus and they pretty much wanted to stone the woman to death and Jesus being good and sweet as he is help the woman up showed that he loved her and told the hypocrites let him without sin cast the first stone baby! I’m not catholic but I do agree with the Pope on his outlook on this matter. Of course this ain’t word for word I paraphrased what he said in a little Bankhead courts Atlanta  talk but IMO this is exactly what he meant, let him that is perfect cast the first stone!!! And they all walked away 😁

That isn't word for word? IT SHOULD BE! "...let him without sin cast the first stone BABY!"

Sounds better to me!
