Yep, I’m going with the underdog on Saturday afternoon at LA Coliseum. The home side.

Not just to cover the number – 3.5 on FanDuel as of early Friday morning– but to win.

Unbeaten Penn State has done little wrong in its first five games. But away from Beaver Stadium, after making a cross-country trip, I don’t think the Lions have any room for error against a dangerous opponent.

Which offense will put together the game-winning drive in the final minutes?

It could be quarterback Drew Allar and Penn State. The Lions should get a lift from the healthy return of dangerous running back Nicholas Singleton and right tackle Anthony Donkoh.

i hope he eats these words. It’s USC but im just not feeling they are tough enough to beat us this year. Pound them with the run games and control the ball. I couldn’t read everything but im assuming he thinks we’re going to lose. What is dangerous about USC? This isn’t a stacked USC team they normally have from what I’ve seen this year. Our defense would have to not show up for us to lose. Maybe I’m missing something? 😂

If Michigan had beat ‘em throwing and running the ball I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost but Michigan threw the ball like 5 times and beat ‘em and then there’s the Minnesota loss and it looked like to me USC wasn’t physical enough on the OL to block Minnesota. I love our chances winning this game.

Until JF led PSU teams prove they can win games like this on the road and do it multiple times in a row I’ll continue picking against them. Allar in particular has a lot to prove also.

USC 23 - PSU 21

If we lose to USC, we don't deserve to be ranked and shouldn't be in the playoffs.  Just my frustrated opinion for what it's worth!

As far as my prediction, I say we win by a FG no less!

@psujoe I said the other day this was a huge game for Penn St and especially James Franklin. I agree, this is the game DA needs to step up and have a great game. If we can see this hopefully they know it as well. I see an ass kicking coming but that’s just my opinion because it is just a 4 point spread. I thought Michigan and the point last week was a gift 😂 what am I not seeing?

As I've said before.  The models are showing a USC win and sayingotherwise. 90% of the videos and podcasts I watched are picking PSU.  One podcast i watched called PSU a bully and emphasized how Franklin loses big games and beats up on nobodies..

All I can say is we better be ready to play at the kickoff because if we come out and play the first half like we have all season we’re gonna get our asses kicked. I don’t know why you think USC doesn’t have talent because they do and I also don’t know why they’re so inconsistent but there’s no doubt in my mind they’ll be fired up for this one. Maybe they were looking ahead to this game?

As Flounders said, they are a very dangerous team.

@psujoe  they got talent I’m sure but they just don’t look like a physical football team. Just not playing like a typical USC team does. Could be a reflection of their HC.

USC a mess in a few areas. I'm sure they practiced hard all week to clean up, because if they lose tomorrow it's bye bye playoffs.  I still believe they were robbed last week by the refs even though they played crappy. I don’t believe they broke the plane on that winning TD drive.

@mastert I believe he was a half yard over the line but I don’t believe the call should’ve been overturned. On a play like that the refs should have the say.you couldn’t see the ball but the players head was a half yard passed the line.

LMAO @ the pathetic troll from Aristes getting all giddy about the higher than usual probability of PSU losing.

The overturned calls at the Miami/VT game and USC/Minnesota were freaking jokes. How on earth can anyone argue that those replays were anywhere close to "conclusive"?

I am not the least bit shocked that Bullet Bob Flounders picked against Penn State as him and lying Davey Jones have always looked for every opportunity to stick it to Penn State...Yes USC is a very dangerous team but so is Penn State...If they go out there and play mistake free football they win the ballgame...They can't turn the ball over...They avoid turnovers they win this ballgame as I believe they are the better team...the DLine needs to get pressure and the secondary needs to play their game...I think Penn State wins this ballgame by 10...The only thing that concerns me are injuries and turnovers...They avoid any significant injuries and don't turn the ball over they win this ballgame...

So to reiterate, if PSU loses, it was a big game. If PSU wins, USC sucks and it wasn't any kind of proof that PSU is any good?

@been-there-ii  i agree BT unless Penn St puts a beat down on ‘em. Just get the win but imo James Franklin won’t show any mercy if we can beat ‘em down. This is a game James Franklin and DA need to win.
