Looks to be a down year OSU, PSU Do not look impressive at all. Bleh hate to say it but UM looks like best. Looks to be a year in playoffs with no big ten team. Dotson looks awesome but Clifford is mediocre at best.Â
UM? Better than expected maybe MSU is also better than expected. East is tough.
Â
Clifford 28 of 32 with an INT at the end of the half and he was hit.
D was OK
Howard Griffin THE FINAL DRIVE 'they had some calls absolutely NOT GO THEIR WAY' SMILE.Â
Â
Auburn is a Top 15 team if Nix can hold it together.
@underlion I had to quit drinking before 1/2 time 'cause I was imagining the SEC crew was making some seriously questionable, slightly biased calls.
@been-there-ii And then when you realized it wasn't the beverages, which call in the second half allowed you to drink some more?
Only an SEC officiating crew could have robbed a B10 team of a down and force Penn State to punt on 3rd. down.
I disgree Southern. I think he should file a formal complaint. This Sheet has to stop.
@southern-psu-fan you don't say a word if you can get a proxy to do it for you. Maybe ESPN will say something like 'boy that officiating was so bad maybe there was some bias. We propose when 2 conferences play the oficials be from an unbiased conference so as not to suggest any conflicts of interest'.
Â
Yea, that's the ticket....
ESPN won't say anything...It will be a brief blurb and forgotten...If I am Penn State and the B1G conference I file a formal complaint and issue a statement saying SEC officials will no longer be officiating games in our conference stadiums...If the SEC don't want to come and play home and homes screw em...They only want to play with themselves anyway because they are frauds and only want to continue the myth...They only didn't screw Penn State they pulled the same crap in the Memphis game...This has been going on for years...
@southern-psu-fan Can you teach the sec refs remedial math.
@the-funeral-director I can't understand for the life of me why it isn't ref's from a neutral conference officiating teams of 2 different conferences every time all season long!!Â
That might be the answer Navy. The only thing worse than the way they're doing it now would be going with a split crew. That never worked out in the past either.
In Bowl games aren't they from a third conference? Guess it is easier logistically in bowl season plus they probably get to pick the best officials.
The problem with hold calls is you can call them half the time and it would ruin the game. So you only call the obvious ones that had an impact on the play. So clearly there were no obvious ones and if they were obvious they were away from the play. I bet we held a few times but it wasn't called.
The holding call can easily be used to 'fix' a game. So as bad as they were holding I guess they didn't call holds on PSU either. The difference was Auburn was getting the edge and edge holds are easier to see.
Lion I get your point but these holds were directly involved in the play and allowed them to get the edge...They were blatant...
I missed one call. That safety was darn close. I assume the whole ball has to clear the front edge of the goal line. The same plain the ball has to break for a TD. A safety would have been very damaging.
Maybe, in reality it was good they totally blew the grounding and downs and they were uncomfortable making another huge call in crunch time though the roughing Nix call was big.
I think he was out but that may be my blue and white colored glasses 😎Â
Auburn was blatantly holding the whole game...Not one holding penalty...NOT ONE?!?! Absolutely disgraceful
@the-funeral-director  watching the Auburn game Saturday night was like watching us play Michigan and Ohio St gettin all the crappy calls but at least auburn got a call on ‘em when the game was on the line which never happens when we are playing Michigan and Ohio StateÂ
The SEC did what it does whenever they play an out of conference road game...They demand an SEC officiating crew and they pack the refs to do what they do...Auburn was actually better than I thought they would be but Penn State handled em and frankly was 3 scores better than they were...From what I saw of Auburn they play better defense than anybody I have seen in the SEC so far and may give the sacred cows some trouble...I wouldn't be shocked one bit if they don't knock off Georgia or Alabama...
@the-funeral-director  You think the calls were bad the other night just wait till next year when we go to auburn. I’ve seen some calls down there that will just make you shake your head it’s like being at michigan on steroids lol I’m speaking for my daddy lol
