Give the guy some time to get his footing !!! And don’t forget we now have a coach that does more with less and actually develops talent !!!

Damn this Indiana team is good !!!

Yes, my point was more along the lines of PSU really isn't where he wants to be regardless of money now or later. It would be interesting to learn what he was being paid for what he produced at PSU and what the other programs are going to pay him; if it's more $$, but not life changing, imo, then it's about location and expectations.

See the same thing play out in the business world. And yes, I could be dead ass wrong/off base with his move, but I don't think so.

All this arguing about a player who hasn't done dick yet. Chaz Coleman is a great prospect yes, but he was absent pretty much the entire year. He played in 5 games total, had little impact in them, and people are acting like it's some unforgivable miss to let him go (as if MC had a chiice in the matter)

I mean, if you want to make a prospect one of the highest paid players on your roster based on expectations.... I guess go ahead. However IMO that's a stupid way to spend money, especially for an unproven DE.

@roaminglion he was a freshman sitting out of games already. I’d love to keep him but on MC conditions. He disappointed me but I’m very forgiving if he wants to come back and want to be at Penn St.

Other freshman play and contribute right away. I get he has a ton of potential but I don't want to make a possibly good edge rusher the highest paid kid on the team.

Coleman has signed with Tennessee. Smolick has signed with Temple which could make one of our early non conference games interesting.

Coleman followed Knowles to Tennessee...This may not have been about the money...He just may have wanted to play for Knowles...Who knows...Tough to let a kid like that walk but he ain't Lawrence F'ing Taylor either...He is all potential...

According to Tengwall he wasn't all that sought after coming out of HS - how did he earn the 5* rating if that was true?

I just remember hearing Knowles talk about him after spring camp and calling him the Chazmanian Devil - gave the kid a bunch of hype.
