That’s a tough one.  Growing up just outside of Philly I loved to watch Reggie White ! But I also remember watching Lawrence Taylor a lot too.  He was a great player

So many good ones.  So many eras and positions to pick from. Best all time would be a great tailgate discussion with food and beer in a grass lot outside of Beaver Stadium

@tsuga

See, it can be done Tsuga  old men can think alike, and Id have no trouble with those two in top 10, as difficult as it is to name a top 10..

Another guy I admired, and its difficult to compare him, his stats wont be nearly as gaudy, as it was  a different game, but Browns QB, Otto Graham was  a great one   he was in many  a championship game, still remember those games vs Detroit LIons, with bourbon swilling  Bobby Layne the Lions QB..

Because I love offense, and I think this guy just completely stood out in his era, I'm going with Jerry Rice. The dude was just phenomenal.

He holds 36 NFL records and did things that still haven't come even close to being matched, even in today's pass happy environment.

It's so hard, especially without doing it by position.  I can't disagree with anyone you guys have mentioned, but personally, I'm for the hard nosed guys that did the dirty work!  I always liked guys like Art Donovan, Ray Nitschke, Dick Butkus and PSU's Mike Hartenstine.

it's got to be Johnny Unitas.  If he had played under current rules his stats would be off the charts.

The great Galloping Ghost! Even more than the other players, his signing into the NFL legitimized the league... It was a fledgling sport at that time.
