For those that watched the game on tape delay on the B10 network, anyone else thought their coverage was horrible. Spent more time talking about either Matt Millen, or the returning graduates rather then talking about who's in the game, who's moved position, etc etc etc. Also, several players changed numbers from this last year to this year. Would have much rather seen better coverage of the players on the field, all I'm saying.

I agree, BDC. I could have done without seeing the new women's BB coach running for a touchdown. Now if it was Sandy running, that would have been something to see!
Matt Millen was saying the same thing but I understand why they were happy for their guy Matt Millen.
Roam , what’s people’s beef with Sandy Barbour? Lots of people on PennLive don’t like her and to me Penn st’s sports look pretty dang good . Ain’t that her job to look after sports. This is something I don’t know much about
I don't like the fact she has to get into every picture that is taken. Especially wrestling. She had to get in with David Taylor at a football game even though he graduated and was being honored for a world title. Senior day for wrestling she was in on every picture. Same with National Championship photos. She has nothing to do with the wrestling program. It is all endowed scholarships. What they don't have Ira and a few other pick up the tab. She's a big self promotor.

An AD is supposed to be a self promoter, it's practically in their job description. The better she looks, the safer donors feel about giving their money to the program. It it in the best interest of the school and the athletics program to have her everywhere reminding people that the person who is running the show is well liked and doing a great job.
And yes, she has something to do with every athletic program... even wrestling. Last I checked it's part of the Athletic Department. While I'm not a huge fan of hers, I do realize that she came in and kept the train moving. All of our programs that were good before she got here are still good, and some have gotten better. Can't do much better than that.

Southern, I have no beef about Sandy Barbour or the new women's basketball coach. My comments were in agreement with BDC's opinion that the B1G network's coverage of the BW game was horrible. They spent more time talking about everything but the players and the game. My comment about Sandy running was a feeble attempt at injecting some humor. Be honest, wouldn't you like to see her run LOL!
I was talking about people on PennLive not you bob. There’s a lot of people on PennLive that doesn’t like her and I was just wondering why. She seems to be an ok lady to me and penn st sports are in good shape and she’s had nothing but good things to say about penn st from what I’ve heard.
I agree that the coverage was awful. If I want interviews on the sidelines, I can read them. I wanted to watch the practice and see where the potential problems are. I will say that based on limited observation, the OL is still a concern. Cain looked good and it's nice to see another WR with burner speed.

Indeed she was but I am sure they can find someone who is a PSU grad who wouldn't have an ax to grind with the university and it's athletic dept.. .That Ganim was some piece of work.. Of course her career went down the toilet once they stopped feeding her stories ..
