Penn State is a national title contender with sky-high expectations in 2025. So it makes sense that the Nittany Lions have their highest preseason ranking this century.
Penn State is ranked No. 2 in the preseason Associated Press Top 25 poll, which was released Monday. The Nittany Lions are ranked just below No. 1 Texas and above No. 3 Ohio State.
I’d still put Ohio St #1 until somebody beats ‘em. We’ve been very good the last 3 or 4 years hopefully we got the offense fixed to beat the heavyweights. With the 3 new WR’s the schedule sets up good for us hopefully we are jelling when Oregon comes to the whiteout and hopefully they’ll be leaving with an ass kicking. I’m starting to get nervous FD 😂 I copied the top part of pennlive article.
I said I’m nervous. Me and the funeral director are always nervous game time 😂
@southern-psu-fan I get nervous at game time, but you still have 19? days to go. 😉
Southern, I came here to see your reaction to GT being left out of the rankings; I think this years team is going to surprise some people. Don't be surprised if they finish in top 15.
I believe losing the last 2 games against Georgia and Vanderbilt cost Ga Tech some respect. The Jackets need a chip on their shoulders and come out and prove how good they are. Brent Key has done a great job when consider the dumpster fire that Geoff Collins left behind. Ga Tech was around the 128th team under that dude. Tech is good at QB and I believe they are a top 15 team but they need to prove it on the field. Get back in here brother we got some Penn St football right around the corner and we want you here.
Good can of Wasp and Hornet spray will take care of those pesky Yellow Jackets.
GT is at best a middle of the pack team in the worst p4 conference in the country. Not way in hell they should even be in the top 50

Get on the train Homer while there’s still a little room 😁🇺🇸🍺🏈
Them Yellow Jackets can sure sting! Believe me, I know. Got stung on the side of my face about a week ago and I still have a mouse under my left eye!
After winning just 10 of its previous 38 games, Georgia Tech has won 18-of-34 games since Key took the reins as interim head coach five games into the 2022 season.
Ga Tech stunk up the field while Geoff Collins was there I’ve only said they got better the last few years. You gotta fight hard homer to get out of the shit Ga Tech was in under Collins. It was a dumpster fire for 4 years under that dude.

Im pretty sure if my team played in the worst conference in the country I wouldn’t be bragging about them going 18-16
@psujoe Oh heelll no! That's the toughest conference around, just ask Succyexcuse. It's so tough, they suggested Syr should add a couple more gimme games to improve their standings.
Expecting an amazing PSU football season, l predict a 10-2 season with a trip to the playoffs. Only losing to Oregon and Ohio State. Plus winning a game in the playoff to finish 11-3 with a elite 8 finish! I think PSU is one of the 8 best teams in the country. Franklin is doing a solid job!
@trick7 I usually don't do the prediction thing, but I'm not so sure we lose to Oreegone. I mean, they don't even know how to pronounce their state right.
@trick7 I’m not being doom and gloom on we have to win the NC or it’s a bad season I just want to see improvement on beating teams like Ohio State and Oregon. Gotta gets some wins against the heavyweights and see what happens in the playoffs. Huge game at home against Oregon. Good morning BT
@southern-psu-fan What if we beat OSU, go 12-1 and lose in the NC to Texas? Still a failed season?
@roaminglion absolutely not that will be a great season but it will be greater if we win the NC.
If we beat Ohio State and Oregon that’s a good season regardless what happens in the playoffs. It will be disappointing if we lose in the playoffs but to beat both heavyweights in your conference is a good season regardless. If we beat Ohio State and Oregon odds are we won’t lose in the first round of the playoffs.
