We dropped 2 places to #10 in this weeks AP poll. I guess our close game with BG stuck in the voters minds and even though it didn't hurt us in last weeks poll it came back to bite us in our bye week.
I’m not worried about a poll 3 weeks in.
WVU losing to Pitt didn't help us and BG was idle. It will be interesting to see what BG does at A&M this coming weekend.
We are probably right where we should be based on our schedule the first three weeks. USC and Kansas St are ranked behind us and both of them have wins over top 25 teams, so we are not getting dissed that much. Ohio State with 5 first placed votes based on their scheduled so far is mind boggling.
Need Illinois to beat Nebraska and come into HV ranked. We need some wins over ranked teams cause I just don't see us making it past both USC and Ohio State. I actually like our chances at home VS Ohio State more than I do with USC on the road.

Penn state beat up on a 1-2 west virginia team in week 1, nearly lost to a MAC team on their home turf, has a bye week and now they get to pound on a Kent State team. What does anyone expect? This applies to all football teams.
Thrown a bone with 12 team playoff? Everyone cried and belly ached for years about a playoff system that "wasn't fair". Well, here it is now. The new playoff system that everyone wanted is here now.

I am 100% with Roam on this one...Win 11 games and your in...They got 2 real games on their schedule and at worst they gotta win 1 of em and hold serve on the teams they need to beat...They gotta beat USC and/or Ohio State...Simple as that...They need to really improve from where they are now..They caught a break with the QB from Wisky going down...Michigan isn't going anywhere and I believe they will lose 3 games at minimum...If I had to pick 4 teams from the B1G getting in I would go with Ohio State, Oregon, USC and Penn State...Keep an eye on Nebraska as well...They could sneak in...It boils down to winning your games...I honestly think the top 12 is going to be fairly obvious once the season plays out...
@the-funeral-director I don’t believe the big 10 will get 4 teams in I’m thinking 2 maybe 3 if its not Penn St on the outside looking in. If the big 10 gets 4 teams then I’ll agree but 3 is the most.
my guess is the SEC gets 5, The B1G gets 4, ACC & Big 12 champs get in and the group of 5 gets one in...Thats how I see this shaking out...I would say the locks from the SEC are Georgia, Bama & Ole Miss...The rest of em will be fighting out for the other 2 slots...I see OSU and Penn State getting in because of the schedule they have...Oregon should be a lock along with USC...The only outlier I see from the B1G that could sneak in is Nebraska...Iowa mebbe as well but that is it...Wisky lost their QB so they are finished...I ain't sold on USC yet to be honest...I don't think LSU is that good...
