I wish they would pass this for calloege sports, it would allow the NCAA to actually manage their sport.
While I doubt this would happen, but imagine the NCAA being able to create a system where revenue is shared equally at the FBS level, and their are regional conferences with 10 teams a piece in them. Every team plays every other team in their conference, with tie-breakers selecting the winner (if necessary). No conference championship games.
Each team in the conference also plays 1 FCS, and two other FBS teams (each from a different conference) every year. This leads into a robust playoff where 10 conference champions have auto bids and 6 wild cards are selected. There is no conference where ESPN or Fox has an exclusive deal with, because all revenue is shared. The only deals are with the NCAA as a whole.
I said yesterday that 10 teams in a conference is big enough. Some of the other stuff is above my head but I trust your judgement and I like the way the money is shared because all the teams in college football is what makes it fun for everybody.

Right now it is worse than the Pros and it is not what I imagine was intended for using someone's 'Image'. You get paid big $ but there is little you have to do to perform and you can decide when you want to opt out. See they are not actually getting pad to play, they just worked around the amateur requirement. It is bad but what do you expect from lawyers and the NCAA?

Also, most the portal to Mat as well as recruiting signing day. Maybe make a signing say for early enrolls, but everything else is right before summer.
Eliminate spring practices and move them to June/July so kids who want to be early can come in summer. All 15 practices then instead of spring.

Well Roam...This is a rare occasion indeed...I TOTALLY agree with everything you have proposed...You have given the answer...Too logical, Too honest and for that reason it is never going to happen...That would actually bring on honest competition and in my opinion be really good for the sport as well...I endorse your proposal 100%...I am growing concerned because I am agreeing with you way too much here lately...
