Did any of you guys get a brochure in the mail in regards to a trip to Russia??Β  It's for 10 days and they're only taking 28 people at just under $4,000 per person.Β  I have no interest in that but im just wondering if anybody else would be??Β  Seems kind of odd they'd limit the number to 28.

Now, do a 10 day trip out west for an elk hunt and I'd be all in on that one!!!!

Its not football related. But it is Penn State related.Β  It was a question posed to my fellow alumni of Penn State.Β  You could have chosen to read it and move on but you didn't.Β  In saying that, Old Yeller, there is one city that's on the itinerary that may be of interest to you.......St Petersburg.......im guessing you'd be "up" for that.

remoh quit being such a dick.Β  Your personal battle with Tsuga is foolish.Β  Tsuga is liked by a lot more folks on here than you are.Β  I didn't have a problem with you until you started this unprovoked attack.Β  If Tsuga bothers you , just ignore him.

I've been to St. Petersberg, and it's completely overrated IMO. I was excited to see it due to everyone saying how interesting it is, but to me it was just boring.

If you like an onslaught of Church and Palace tours, with a trip to the Hermitage (Which is a converted palace) mixed in... then you'll love it. But everything just blurred for me after a few. Mostly "more of the same" everywhere you went.

Other than that, I can best describe the city like this: It's as if a communist architect decided they wanted to build Venice, but with huge greyish boring buildings everywhere.

I much prefer Tallin, Stockholm, and other cities in the Baltic over it.

Thanks Roam,Β  Did you get the brochure too??Β  I found it rather odd that they would only offer something like that to 28 people.Β  I was just wondering if anybody else on the board received the invite.

Damn! Sorry to hear you say that! We're doing a trip to the Baltic next Spring. Looking forward to St. Petersburg.

I here the fishing is good in Russia.Β  A friend of mine has been there several times just for a fishing trip.Β  I just got back from Florida today, the Red Tide is letting up at my condo and we caught a bunch of fish.Β  Four weeks ago, the Sarasota Bay looked like what I think you could call the Day After. I never seen so many dead floating fish in my life.Β  Not sure if this Hurricane will push it back in or pick it up take it the rest away out.Β  I took off in Tampa just as Michael was making landfall.Β  What a bumpy ride that was and we were hundreds of miles away from the center. I can only imagine what it must be like in the middle of this monster.

To each their own, just because I didn't like it doesn't mean you won't. We loved our Baltic trip, so don't get me wrong it was worth the trip to see it... I just wouldn't call it my favorite city LOL

I'm sure you'll have a great time.

PS - Tsuga, I didn't see the brochure but a lot of tours have limits to them.

Old Yeller, did you ever think that it may be more than rallying around someone? It could just be that nobody likes you.

Maybe I'm wrong MB, but I'm pretty sure "T" was referring to something other than cake in his St. Pete's reference.... Possibly a "Long John" or some other pastry.

I’m a life long Penn State fan but not so much on PSU organized tours. I think they are pricey when you can do the same for much less on your own.

Remoh, please believe me when I say you are a well informed fan and how much I respect and appreciate β€œmost” of your posts. Β Please stop with the jabs. Tsuga and bulldawgs are good posters and I believe to be good people.

For my 2 cents I like everybody who posts here...even Pipe...LOL...I don't understand what the beef is between Homer and Tsuga? I must have missed it somehow but I really don't understand what Homer's bloomers are in a bunch about regarding Tsuga? I really do wish whatever the beef is could be forgotten and we could move on...I always considered this forum to be like family and as we know all families have there fussin and fightin but seem to get through it and pull together...Hopefully this will pass...Hell I get into it with Roam every week over the polls, SEC, Bama and Clemson but I still like and respect Roam even though he has no friggin idea what he is talking about regarding that subject...LOL....I would like to see you guys get past this not only for the sake of the forum but for your own sakes as well....

No beef on my end. A few years ago I made a comment that Remoh disagreed with. I backed my opinion up with fact and he backed his up with the verbal assaults and name calling. I called him out on it and he's been pissed at me ever since.

More recently, he called Navyjag "pond scum" and I called him out on that and it pissed him off. Jag has spent most of his life serving our country and I believe he deserves more respect than that. Remoh's been Hounding me ever since, but it's ok, if he's busting my chops that means he's not busting someone else's.

I have a quick question Homer... Please don't attack me over this question as it is a serious one and I am legitimately curious... What is your beef with the military guys in the forum? Most of my family served... I had a great uncle who was a Pow in WWII, had another who was a paratrooper who fought in the battle of the bulge, Had another who received 3 bronze stars, a silver star and 2 purple hearts for service through North Africa,, Italy and France... Has 3 great uncles on my mother's side killed in the pacific theater, brother in law had 2 tours in Nam... I could go on and on... I didn't serve but I have a deep respect and gratitude for those who do and did... I am just curious as to the genisis of your open hostility towards the vets in the forum? I like you Homer and have no beef with you but I really am curious as to how and why you could have such a beef with all of the military guys in the forum? The whole thing just puzzles me..

The world according to Tsuga, "I backed mine up with facts" LMAO!

You really are a worthless senile old fart!

Another one of your "facts"that I've easily shot down... https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/plum/growing-prune-trees.htm&ved=2ahUKEwjZ1t2vpv_dAhVpk-AKHTHdCUkQFjAaegQICRAB&usg=AOvVaw2U6H_G4kvG2tHyCpa4KhAz&cshid=1539292295810.

So, you're insinuating that tsuga is not a vet? What are you basing your opinion on? BTW, just how deep do you want to dig that hole you're in?
