Let him play NOW! He will probably make alot of mistakes but maybe it will set him up for next year & he won't have to go through so many growing pains. If he doesn't play the rest of the year, I can hear all of us next year, "WTF was that".
All I want is what's best for the kid, If he isn't ready then I don't want him in there. Michigan didn't play JJ McCarthy last year and hes done great this year.
Sometimes you just gotta let the kid learn in the background before throwing them into the fire
Hell I'd like to see Veilleux or Pribula get some playing time unless they are flat out chopped liver; if not, I'd say there is a good chance they are headed to the transfer portal, retiring from football season's end, or satisfied with riding it out to get the degree and then moving on.
Agree Roam, bring him along corectly while winning the rest of the games. Cliff was given his chance, and we should look to the future. Not that we kick Cliff to the curb but think long term. May also mean playing CV some so as to not signal a decission for next year.
@underlion Up to this point I think it's very clear who the #2 QB is... and it aint CV or Pribula.
@roaminglion I don’t believe anything is clear on who the starter should be next year at QB. It was clear to me Allen was the best RB on the team in game 3 or 4 and it took till game 7 for the coaches to figure it out. Levis walked and that bothers me, They never did figure out Parsons was better than Koa Farmer and McSorely wasted a half a year sitting behind Hack. Maybe Parsons did start the bowl game now that I think about it but still. My favorite players on the team are the ones playing that gives us the best chance to win…period. Personally, I don’t know how a pro style QB will work in our offense but if Allar is the best QB he’ll be my favorite QB.
@psujoe I hope he stays because I think the kid can play but I can see now that James Franklin won’t ever give him a chance so you’re probably right homer. That’s why Levis left, he was never given a chance and if you don’t give good players a chance they’ll jump ship today with this transfer portal. Can’t blame ‘em.
@psu61 Veilleux is a lock to enter the portal, he’d be crazy not to.
I think so unless he just wants to finish up his finance degree over the next year and then move on to the corporate world.
IMO you can't worry about the portal. You play who you feel is the best at this moment in time. If a kid doesn't want to compete, so be it. Let him go. If the coach repeatedly misjudges talent, so be it. Let him go!

I agree, no worries, it will be what it is meant to be.
Unfortunately, hard to say if the best is always playing vs a player playing b/c he "deserves" to play.
Oh well, its just a game.
