Our defense can win every game we play as long as we don’t turn the ball over on offense. Our defense is super fast and they get to the ball. The good news is our offense will only get better and from what I see Cain is the man at RB. I honestly don’t think the OL is all that bad I think we’ve taken a big step back at RB because boobie and Barkley were just that good. Cain looks to be the real deal and he may be the missing piece we’ve been looking for.
I agree Southern, hopefully our one weakness gets better as the season goes on. We need to get better on the offensive line
I think the OLine is the weakness and I don't think they are very good up front...I am just hoping they can gel as a unit and become average...I am getting tired of the same story with the OLine every season...
First year of issues ... it's youth and inexperience.
Second year of issues, well we got guys playing in different positions, and they are still young.
Third year of issues, well we lost some guys to the draft and the transfer portal.
Fourth year of issues, yeah you were right, OL coach needs fired.
At some point that has to happen BOB...Year after year it's the same baloney...I am getting sick and tired of the excuses as to why these guys can't block anybody, handle stunts and blitz pickups, move anybody off of the ball and execute even basic blocking schemes...I mean Pitt made a fool out of em...Simple twists and stunts were working and they looked like they never seen anything like it before...Look at the tape...It's sad...
With Cain playing RB we didn’t have any trouble running the ball. Barkley had tons of yards and boobie had a great year last year so the OL ain’t as bad as y’all say. We need to constantly run the ball to get a rhythm but I believe we are a pass first team but as long as we win I could care less just do what works and wins the game.
I actually think the offensive line has gotten better every year, it just hasn't been the huge improvements year-over-year that we wanted.
To me it is no question this line is the best we've had, considering it is a less mobile QB than McSorley back there too. They just haven't improved as much as we'd like. However, I do feel some of that is the scheme we run... Heavy RPO teams are rarely known for having a great OL
