You suckeye fans have to be walking on eggshells over this whole Richard Strauss thing. Hard to imagine that guys like you were throwing the Sandusky thing in our faces when you OSU faithful had this hiding in your closet. Woody Knew.....how's the sound of that make you feel?? This certainly brings to life the old saying "You cant spell C*CK **CKER without OSU". What sanctions do you think you guys deserve?? Bowl bans?? Would it be safe to say you guys have a culture problem out there in Columbus??

Seems this was a major cover up by the University.
Investigators found that Strauss’ abuse went on from 1979 to 1997 and took place at various locations across campus, including examining rooms, locker rooms, showers and saunas. Strauss contrived, among other things, to get young men to strip naked, and he groped them sexually.
The report concluded that scores of Ohio State personnel knew of complaints and concerns about Strauss’ conduct as early as 1979 but failed for years to investigate or take meaningful action.

It’s interesting to peek in on OSU’s official forum, 11 Warriors. For the record, I think OSU fans are passionate, knowledgeable and mostly respectful but as you would expect from any board including ours, there are the usual idiot suspects. That said, somebody or somebodies tried to start a thread to openly talk about OSU administrators and coaches culpability in the matter but their moderators wiped them under the guise of, “its not Buckeye football”.

Earl Bruce took over the team after the 1978 season

177 athletes and none of the coaches seen anything? Do the doctors do private physicals? If Joey Galloway knew Desmond Howard knew and neither one of them said a word. I know Desmond is a Michigan guy but the are buddies so he had to know.

Though I believe some funky things happened on the OSU campus in those days I have issue with the “he had to know” prosecution. It’s what we hear all the time about Parterno and I refuse to accept that unless provided irrefutable proof or at least proof enough to hold up in a court of law.
