In case some of you are wondering, the "true" rankings won't be out until we start playing. What I mean by that is that some pollsters are abstaining from voting for Big 10 & PAC 12 schools until they start playing. So while the first few weeks had no B10 or PAC schools ranked, the current rankings don't reflect the true thinking either.
Basically, even though Ohio State is #6 and we're #9... it doesn't mean that is where the majority of voters are placing us. It's more like OSU is getting a bunch of #3 votes, we're getting a bunch of #6 votes, and then some people aren't voting for either team at all so we lose those points and average lower than what the majority thinks.
I know polls don't really matter all that much, but I can guarantee you this... Right now OSU & PSU are outside the top 4, but the winner of that game on October 31st will be ranked #3 or higher.
The true rankings will be when ole southern here releases the true top 5 where I only rank the top 5 teams because this is where the big dawgs play baby! October 25th
