Alabama, Georgia and Clemson all have to lose twice to be eliminated from the playoff. Not because it makes sense but because ESPiN says so.
Prog
@psujoe exactly right remoh! If we have one loss and these teams you just named and Oklahoma have 1 loss we will get left out. It is what it is.
The B1G champ is undefeated
Oregon is the PAC 12 champ and is undefeated
Oklahoma is the undefeated Big 12 champ
Georgia is the undefeated SEC Champ
Alabama has a loss
Who's the 4 playoff teams?
I know who the 4 should be...
I know it's fun to joke about the playoff committee, but they wouldn't leave out a Power 5 undefeated. Sorry, that wouldn't happen unless all 5 conference champs were 12-0. In this scenario... Georgia, Oklahoma, Oregon, and the Big Ten Champ would be in.
My proof is 2017. In 2017 Wisconsin was #4 heading into the BTC. Their schedule was not great, but they were still ranked ahead of Alabama. Had they won, they were in. Georgia would have leaped over Alabama into the #4 spot and Wisky would have been #3, but they lost and 2 loss OSU was the Big Ten Champion. That is why Alabama got in. There was no way in hell the Badgers were going to drop to #5 if they beat OSU and won the Big Ten undefeated. Regardless of their schedule.
@roaminglion I don’t know roam, after the smashing of Michigan State 38-0 from Alabama and Clemson 31-0 over Ohio State don’t put anything past this committee to keep the big 10 out unless it’s to get Ohio st or Michigan in and they’ve proved it in 2016 when the committee took who Jim Delany told ‘em to. That’s another thing FD, it’s the big 10 who you should be frustrated with not the SEC. for the record FD, I don’t like the SEC any more than you do brother.

We had 2 losses, one to Pittsburgh and 1 absolute drubbing to Michigan. That is why they did not take us
If anything, your example proves my point. They were unwilling to vault a 2 lost Penn state over a one loss power 5 champion Washington, Even though Washington's schedule was dreadful
