Interesting list. Felt Hunter Nourzad moving to center might have been a better addition to this list than Wormley, and seems like basically every receiver -- KLS, Saunders, McClain, Clifford -- would have been a quality candidate to be included. Anyone else?
I believe both QB’s have something to prove. Love what I’m hearing and I can’t wait until the spring game because I want to watch both play even if it is a scrimmage. I’m excited about it.
I miss the old format of it being pretty much a game, not a fan of the weird stuff Franklin has done with it...
Though I realise it's just a practice, it's not a big deal just my opinion
@roaminglion I agree play a scrimmage game but the QB is off limits to hit.
I prefer the game/scrimmage format too. I think it puts more pressure on the players and gives the coaches a chance to see how they handle it. The closer you can get to game conditions, the better. Although, I agree that the QB's should be protected.
Not sure where I read it, so don't put too much credence into it, but it's rumored the B&W game will be going back to a scrimmage format.
I read the same thing, BT. Likewise, I don't remember where I read it, but it was fairly recently.
I found it! Here is a quote from Franklin's Spring Football Press Conference as reported in the Blue & White Bulletin:
- Franklin said he thinks the overall depth on the roster will allow the team to return to a typical spring game format this April:
"Based on our numbers right now, we anticipate going back to a traditional spring game look we've had in the past. I know a lot of people have gone away from that. I think there's value in it. I also think that we're one of the unusual schools where 75,000 people show up to watch a spring game. I would like to be able to give 'em a spring game."
Especially having a new QB put ‘em out there and see what they got baby. Man I can’t wait
I got my ???? eye on Allard. Let's see what this kid can do. The kid has the height
