4 star DT Izzard, 4 star WR Dottin, 3 star DT Mulbah, Juco DB Brown. Plus, they still have kids visiting currently. I had to give the glass half full perspective. Too much negativity on here recently.
Why get excited over "commits" from teenagers who may or may not know what they want? Save your joy & sorrow for after they sign their LOI. However, you're still not out of the woods because there's always the transfer portal to contend with!

With that perspective, it’s no wonder so many people are on anti depressant medication. Good grief. Go out and get some sunshine. The negativity of some on this board is toxic. Have fun fellas. I’m out. You guys are too much.

I'm not overly concerned and confident that the class will end up strong.
Everything is good baby and will get better with James Franklin running the show. We may lose s recruit here and there but I have confidence James Franklin will step it up and get it fixed with as good of player or better, he always has. Bigger, faster and still gettin stronger! Great days are here to stay brother and that’s just the truth.
What's wrong with being realistic? I don't think I'm being negative. Sorry if you find the truth depressing. I agree with Southern - we'll be ok. The point I was trying to make was don't waste your time following recruiting so closely. When an adolescent gives his so-called commitment, it doesn't really mean a thing. Just ask his former girl friends, LMAO.
Didn't think you were being negative Bob. It's nice to get commitments, but nothing is in stone until signing day. lol & with the portal, it's not stone anymore, it's fresh concrete.

All he said was "I had to give the glass half full perspective. Too much negativity on here recently."
I don't see the need to come back with "Why get excited over "commits" from teenagers" for 2 reasons:
1. He merely said he was giving a half glass full perspective, not sure that qualifies as being giddy about signings...
2. If someone wants to be excited about recruiting and likes following it, I think at this point we can all stop reminding them that LOI day is when things are final. They know that. It's still fun for them to follow recruiting regardless, that's why an entire industry built up around it. I think it's time we all move on from constantly bringing up LOI day, if they want to talk about it then let them.
Just trying to say what I think Lionbacker99 meant... if people get excited about something regarding PSU football and want to post about it, why should they have to contend with someone always trying to explain why they shouldn't be excited and need to calm down? Just let him have it. LMAO

I'm sorry if I posted out of line Roam. I know what LB99 said as his glass half-full perspective. He certainly has that right. I merely offered what I said was a realistic perspective, given the unbinding nature of a verbal commitment and the tendency for most adolescents to change their minds often. I would like to think I have that right. The point I was trying to make is it's kind of futile to get too worked up over either a commit or decommit early in the recruiting game. If someone wants to get excited, more power to them! I guess I could have stated it more clearly. I didn't mean to offend anyone.

I didn't say you offended anyone, and of course you have the right to say it. my entire point was every time someone brings up recruiting, someone else seems to talk about loi day like that poster doesn't know.
I'm just saying that at this point I think we all know that things aren't final until loi day.
Just a final comment from an old fart. It's not that anyone doesn't know, but just a reminder that being ahead at the end of the 1st half is nice, but it's the final score that counts!
