I have to say I'm thinking kinda the same and I'm a die hard fan; but I'll go 9-3;8-4. On the other hand if the quarterback play is consistently solid, potential for 10-2. I'm just not sold on the O'line. 

10-2....if the RB’s step up and the WR’s catch the ball we’ll win the big 10 and might go 11-1. The QB and  OL will be just fine brother. The whole team will be deeper and better.

If we lose more than 3 can we still blame Hack and the sanctions??

As he said, Penn State ranks 100th in returning production.  All those players that hit the portal is not helping at all.  Most troubles will start beginning with B10 play. I  wouldn't be surprised if a non conference opponent knocks them off.

Hands down,  my honest opinion and prediction.  

Losses to OSU, MICHIGAN, MSU, IOWA.  Eyebrow raiser... ..upset loss to one of these teams

 Purdue, Indiana or the opening day of Idaho.

Much, much too early in my opinion.  I'll reserve my prediction until after the BW game.  Also, I think the QB situation will be fine, it will be great if Stevens is healthy.

You say a hundred then returning production like that means anything... a ton of that is Miles Sanders, and the people backing him up or probably better than he was.

You want to talk about production lost, just talk about the quarterback position. If our QB plays well next year, will do well: 11-1 or 10-2. If he doesn't, I say we lose three or games games.

I would not bet on our QB playing poorly though, whoever takes over is going to do a good job.

I find it humorous that the article references 2 predictions, one guys "guesses" ( First, the ground rules: These are my projections (guesses)).  puts PSU at 100 based on his "guesses" and another that has PSU at #14 based on S&P statistics that the article says has been pretty accurate over the years.

And Pipe picks the lower one to be controversial on this board!! Go figure!
