I think the last time we held 1st & goal from the 1 was in the Indiana game in 2004 and man did we go on a run after that goal line stance. I’d love to get on a run like that again. Sometimes it takes special moments to get a team fired up so we’ll see if we get some momentum from that goal line stance.
I hope you are right. It would be nice for the offense to have a big day next week. Especially the offensive line. 200 yards on the ground and 300 through the air.

Mills in 04 MROB in 05. The 04 team was good we just didn’t have good QB play. The 04 and 05 defenses were some of the best we’ve ever had. MROB was the difference in 05. I think the most points scored on the 04 defense was 17 or 21 I can’t remember but it was a nasty defense we just couldn’t score on offense. I do think winning the last 2 games against Indiana and Michigan St was something to build on for the next year.

in certain ways this year's Michigan State team reminds me of that 2004 team. very good defense with a dreadful offense
