PSU and Franklin get the #1 player in PA….again. Top 30 prospect in the country and potentially another 5 star.

On3 has him ranked as the 41st overall recruit in the country. I tried to post an article but this site won’t let me do it. Is anyone else having trouble posting articles? Regardless, he said the relationships they built with Franklin and his staff is why he decided to be a Nittany Lion. He visited PSU 9 times in the recruiting process.

I’ve been hearing he was spending a lot of time at PSU but it’s still a pleasant surprise to have him commit this early.

@lionbacker99 I’ve also been having issues posting links to articles. The one I posted above was the first I was able to do in a long time.

@lionbacker99  Some days you can post articles for certain sites, other days you can't link anything. Haven't been able to figure out the pattern yet, but I'm sure some where in all those 0's an 1's there a reason.

I’m a little surprised at this one cause early in his recruitment he didn’t seem, at least in appearance,  to have a high interest in Penn State. Also he didn’t schedule a big announcement date with all the fanfare for being such a highly rated recruit. I just got an email alert from psu247. I like pleasant surprises.

Says he's an athlete and could play RB, LB, or Safety... I wonder what they are targeting him as.

Most of the talk that I’ve seen is running back. Let’s just hope he lives up to his lofty ranking whatever the position.

@psuinhawaii I hope everything is good out your way buddy. even though we had 2 studs we were still thin at RB but adding this kid and picking up the kid from Minnesota let’s us take more chances letting them play other positions that gets the ball in their hands. I try and enjoy every day and I don’t wish any days away but I am looking forward to seeing this team play even if it’s just practice or a spring game. We’ll be cooking out next weekend for the spring game baby. I’m looking forward to seeing the QB’s fight it out. I’m getting the same excitement like I had back in 2016 on watching the QB’s this Saturday and I believe we’re going to be better.

Thanks Southern, all is well my friend. Happy Easter to you and all the board Nits. I’m actually in Pennsylvania right now. My sister wants to go to the blue and white game but I have fly back to Hawaii the next day so I’m passing on that. I’d like to catch it on TV or stream it somewhere though. I guess if you’re grilling out for it you know where to see it. What is your coverage source Southern? Googling says ESPN plus or SEC network (which no way is correct).

I’ve seen nothing but him being targeted as a RB at PSU. Would love to see us also get Van Buren at QB, a Martin - Van Buren backfield could be scary good !

@psujoe Van Buren has a PSU official June 16th and announces on July 8th. There are no crystal ball picks on 247 yet but Penn State is the only team designated “warm”. He speaks highly about Maryland too and will be visiting several other schools so it’s by no means a slam dunk for the good guys. He has visited Penn State unofficially several times though.

@psuinhawaii yea I’ve read that he has a very good relationship with the MD staff and they recruit very well at Van Buren’s high school so it will definitely be a fight to get him.

Just trying to connect the dots on what very little I can see on pennlive and what I’ve heard from my son Brett we look to be in great shape at QB. Looks like Pribula is the real deal and he’s going to be good enough to play and he’s being compared to Stevens and Levis which is very good news imo. We’ll get a better feel for what we got Saturday but I love what I’m hearing.

I certainly hope he's not like Stevens, or he is going to get hurt. He was 6'6" / 250... Pribula is 4" shorter and barely 200.

Stevens was a bowling ball

@roaminglion  I believe they’re talking about being athletic and is able to run. Both Stevens and Levi’s was great running QB’s

They were, but that's like saying Journey Brown was like Christian Okoye because they both ran the ball well. Two extremely different RBs.
