After an ugly 1st half for both teams, the second half got better for both. Wisconsin got hot and made 13 straight points to take the lead 49-40 late in the game. Then Penn State got hot, came back to tie the game 49-49 with only 51 seconds left. Wisconsin scored at 31 seconds left and held off the Nittany Lions to close out a close game.
Sam Sessoms led Penn State with 14 points. Greg Lee added 8. Harrar and Lee each had 9 rebounds.

They are competitive with a limited roster against a top team, and have been (mostly) all year. That's not bad for a first go round
I don't know if you heard about this, they talked about it during the game. PSU have a problem with their flight out to cheese land. The plane was coming from Texas and got caught up in the weather. It was actually supposed to bring back the women's team and then take the men to WI. They got another plane but only landed 2 hours before game time, checked into the hotel quickly and got to the gym an hour before game time. That probably accounted for some of their shooting problems in the first half.
