Down 29 at the half. PSU couldn't buy a bucket and Indiana was rolling. I give PSU a lot of credit for coming out fighting in the second half. They outscored Indiana 40-28 in the second half and kept playing hard until the end. I like this team. I did not expect much this year with all the defections but coach Shrewsberry pulled in enough folks to make a pretty good team. Gives me a bit of hope for the future.

I like this team, they play hard and seem to be well coached. Lots to be optimistic about, especially with a very good recruiting class coming in.

@roaminglion I'm looking forward to seeing the new recruits play. I think coach Shrewsberry will probably pick up a couple new "old guys"from the portal next year to help out until the recruits get a bit of battle testing.

That's a good point, I'm sure some guys looking to move can see Shrew as a coach they could play for.

I wish I were as optimistic as Roam and Grad81.  I see an inconsistent, error prone team that at times can be real good but often under performs.

One announcer on the BTN said at the end of the game "I like Penn State. They are dangerous down the stretch.  They have veteran players, one of the oldest teams in the country.  Great one-on-one players.  But tonight belonged to the Hoosiers...."  Hmm.  Hollow praise for a team struggling to be at 0.500.....

I have to believe it must be tough to quickly get a group of strangers to play as a team. I agree that they have not been consistent but they have outperformed my expectations. Keep it mind I had very low expectations after the mass exodus at the end of last year.
