A very good defensive night by Penn State. Seth Lundy controlled Rutgers top scored Ron Harper, limiting Harper to 7 points. Likewise, Jalen Pickett limited Rutgers #2 scorer Geo Baker to 7 points.
Sessoms lead all Nittany Lion scorers with 17. Harrar contributed 16 and Pickett had 15.
Greg Lee was the dominant rebounder 12.
Penn State was hot in the first 12 minutes of the game and then again in the last 10 minutes.

Good strategic coaching by Shrewsberry. He used his players in a smart manner.
