A surprisingly tough game against arguably the worst team in the Big Ten. Penn State started the game hot, making 80% of their shots. But Minnesota largely matched them. Eventually, the Lions pulled ahead by halftime with a 10 point lead (45-35).
But Penn State started the second half ice cold and Minnesota pulled even with them. But tough defense in the last 9 min of the game and improved shooting allowed Penn State to finally pull away and seal the victory.
Jalen Pickett carried the team for the second straight game with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in 37 minutes of play. Camren Wynter added 14 and Andrew Funk contributed 11.

Not really that surprising when you consider we're 12-2 at home and 2-7 on the road. If we ever figure out how to play well away from the BJC, we'll be a very, very good team.
Hi Roam. I agree that Penn State plays very, very well at home and poorly away. This particular game was at Minnesota and perhaps I should have expected a loss since it was an away game. But I thought "umm, Minny is 1-12 in the Big Ten. We should win this one easily." And that was not the case....

At least we got the win! If we can win both games at home, and steal 1 of the 2 on the road in our last 4 games that would nice. Northwestern at home would be a big confidence booster too.
