The last minute of the game was a nail bitter as Indiana did aggressive pressing and forced some turnovers that became quick baskets. But Penn State pulled away in the final seconds with some clutch free throws by Pickett and Wynter.
Pickett was awesome leading the Lions with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Seth Lundy was also critical contributing 16 points and 6 rebounds plus critical defense.
Penn State shot 35% on 3 point attempts and was 88.5% for free throws. Plus only 7 turnovers with half of those occurring during the final minute when Indiana aggressively pressed. Personally, I though the refs gave Indiana a lot of leeway in their crowding and swatting at the ball during the final minute of play. But it is what it is, I guess. The key is that Penn State didn't allow the final minute to overwhelm them. They stay calm, called timeouts as needed and didn't allow the game to get away from them.
Now its on to the finals and taking on Purdue!!
