In the post game press conference following Friday's win over Northwestern, Micah Shrewsberry mentioned that he will be circulating a petition during today's game against Nebraska that is seeking support for John Harrar to be given an extra year of eligibility from the NCAA. I am not sure what Micah's specific argument for the extra year of eligibility will be. John played the 2017-2018 season as a freshman; 2018-2019 season as a soph; 2019-2020 as a junior; 2020-2021 as a senior, and 2021-2022 (this year) as a grad/super senior under the COVID allowance. That's five seasons and John played virtually all games in those seasons. He did not have any injury shortened seasons.
Don't get me wrong, I really like John. He is my favorite player and I hope he somehow can come back for a sixth season. But how can Micah argue that he should get an exemption to play another season????
Just confused.....

It was senior night, so I'd imagine after the huge game he had it was a bit tongue and cheek... like "man I wish I could have this kid another year"
@roaminglion You may be right Roam. But he seemed pretty serious to me so if he was kidding, then I took the bait....
