Wow, what an up and down game. Definitely an entertaining game. Kudos to the team and to the coach for this season.
They are a good team and so close so many times! What is the chance the NIT would still take them? I just hate to see their season end. I think Penn State basketball is going to get better and better under Shrewsbury. I like his attitude and I think he did a great job this year for what he had to work with from day 1. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them go deep in the the NCAA tourney in the next two years.
@mtnittanylion The NIT will pass on Penn State because of the losing record (14-17). They are not listed in the NIT teams being considered.
Just an FYI... teams were required to have an above .500 record to make the NIT until a rule change a few years ago. So technically Penn State could now get invited, but as Frodo said it doesn't look like they are being considered.
