By the way it appears that the poll is anonymous. At least I can't figure out who has voted.

@psugrad81 the only thing could’ve made the strike better is Putin was in the building.

@southern-psu-fan I guess it's not against the "rules" but assassinating a head of state is not a great idea. It just might encourage others to do the same.

@psugrad81 It's a fine line. Who's to say what's right & what isn't? Way above my paygrade.

As I said in the other thread, let God, whichever one you believe in sort it out, once we aren't of this earth. Pretty sure no one gets out of here alive and there will be a day of reconning. Might be the world leaders should live their lives as such.

It's getting out of control now.

I haven't dug much into it yet. I want to know how many past presidents, both Republicans and Democrats got approval from congress. Donny doesn't seem to follow rules.

Didn't do much looking, so not sure if true or not:

The wars that the Democratic Party has started includes:

  • the War of 1812
  • the Mexican-American War
  • the Spanish-American War
  • World War I
  • World War II
  • the Korean War
  • the Vietnam War

The Republican Party has started a total of 5 wars.

The wars that the Republican Party has started includes:

  • American Civil War
  • the Gulf War
  • the War in Afghanistan
  • the Iraq War
  • the War on Terror

Toss out a few of the older wars, looks like it's pretty even.

Ok, thank you. My eyes are getting heavy.  I want to know how many of those presidents actually got approval from congress before action. I'll see if I can dig into tomorrow.  With that being said,  I think it was a huge mistake hiring an ex FOX News reporter to head secretary of war.  If you don’t have the education,  training or experience for a job, don't hire them.  Don't hire a plumber to work on a 240v service panel and don't call electrician when your pipes are blocked

@jimmy-v You're welcome. I wouldn't think it happens often, but I'm not really sure what qualifies as war vs military action. To get congressional approval would eliminate any kind of surprise in any military operation.

lol Being unqualified has been rampant in the federal and state for years and years.

I'm pretty sure Japan started WW II for the USA by attacking Pearl Harbor, not the Democrats 🤣🤣🤣

The difference between Military Action and War is:

War is a sustained and ongoing state of military conflict, where military action is a targeted strike (or multiple strikes). Essentially it means War is total and sustained hostilities while military action is specific and limited missions.

Long story short... it's a vague distinction that can be interpreted broadly. However, I'd say when the President says it's war in his speeches, and the head of the Department of War says it is a war in his speeches... there is little ambiguity as to what they believe it is: War.

@roaminglion lol Very true, except I have on good authority, the German's bombed Pear harbor.

I think they were going on the actual declaration of war. Until then, we were a bystander that got the shit kicked out of our Pacific Fleet.

My post went to the wrong thread accidentally about when Uncle Sam has had enough. My lovely wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and my 2 granddaughters is all I can think about when I see women getting treated like they do in Iran…fudge the Iranian regime I hope they all die, it’s way past their time baby!

Being a guy who has substantial interest in the Civil War and also a hobbyist who enjoys hunting for and finding Civil War artifacts i can’t say I’ve ever heard anyone blame one political party or the other for starting the conflict. What makes you say the Republicans started it?

@psujoe Not me, just copied & pasted....not even sure what site it was. That's why I added the disclaimer, "Didn't do much looking, so not sure if true or not:"
