man I hope they find this woman and she’s okay. This story has bothered me since she’s gone missing I just can’t imagine what she’s going through and what misery the family is feeling not knowing. No deals on the table if they catch these scumbags that took her never see outside the jail cell again.

I’m so sick of hearing about her, it’s not like she’s the only missing person in the country. Nonstop press coverage and press conferences by the police for one person while there are probably hundreds or thousands of other people missing is ridiculous.

If we can get one back home that’s missing it’s a great day.

@roaminglion one is better than none. Keep some of these creeps in jail would help.

I am pretty sure we're not letting kidnappers like this one just go free

@roaminglion just the other day California was about to let a brutal child molester out knowing what this sick piece of garbage did to kids. I don’t believe he got out because everybody was raising hell about it. I believe it was California because the governor was taking it on the chin from people out there.

I stopped reading about the Guthrie case a while back and was convinced it wasn’t a kidnapping. If it is a kidnapping why hasn’t there been a legit ransom demand after all these weeks?

Either the Guthrie's exaggerated Nancy's need for her heart meds that 1st day she disappeared or this should be considered a recovery effort, not a hostage situation. It's time to scale back on the manpower a bit.

1. Why would the Govenor blamed for him getting out due to parole? The Governor doesn't control the parole board.

2. Governor Newsome actually appealled the parole boards decision, stating it was wrong. The board upheld their decision

3. The guy who got parole was re-arrested before he was even released and is now awaiting trial on another case he wasn't convicted for. So Newsome and other local DAs obviously aren't letting this guy go free. Even after 20+ years.

It had nothing to do with "people raising hell about it". Give me a break. Local law enforcement, the DA, and the Governor were all against him receiving parole from the beginning.

Amid angry backlash, serial child molester is rearrested the same day he was set to be paroled

I also said I believe it was California and the governor taking it on the chin because I wasn’t 100% sure. Regardless this monster almost got out of jail. I’m also not blaming Newsom I’m sure he did try to keep him in jail.

Why would the Governor be blamed? Well, for starters he appointed the parole board and the California Senate approves the nominations.

Well unless we're blaming other individuals for everyone they appointed (I can guarantee you we aren't, Republicans certainly don't seem concerned with everyone Trump fires for incompetence), I'd say that's certainly selective outrage. Appointing people doesn't mean you control them, and Newsome even stated he doesn't agree with them AND worked with the local DA's to get the guy re-arrested.

So yeah... again... not sure why people are mad at him. He made sure the guy never left.

He didn't fall through the cracks, he was granted parole. FFS

He didn't get out, he's still in prison, and somehow one of the people who made sure he stayed there you're giving crap to. I wonder why.

@roaminglion who? I said Governor Newsom got involved and kept that creep in jail. I doubt Governor Newsom knew he was getting out until he started getting hammered.

. I’m also not blaming Newsom I’m sure he did try to keep him in jail. Here’s is what I said
