By the way things feel around here, it must be summer. Ice off the ponds in the Pine Tree State?
BT: This past Wed I walked the property lines on 15 acres i think I'm gonna buy. Its so far off the grid i dont think i can get there in the winter. What i like about it is it has a stream meandering thru a meadow with two knolls on either side of the stream. The beavers dammed it up and now there's a pond there. Im hoping to put a cabin on each knoll and let wifey and i use one and the kids use the other.
Sounds pretty sweet! Brookies in the creek?
Brookies in the creek and fresh moose tracks going to the bog/pond
Even better! lol Didja call the realtor yet?
No Realtor. Cutting out the middle man. I found all 4 pins and the distances paced out pretty close. The deed lists it as approximately 15 acres......lol. not too much precision/accuracy up here.
haha Yeah, lot's of + or - acres down this way too. Guessing it's a CYA thing, but not sure. Nice to find all the pins though! lol When ya start building?
probably wont get started on that until next spring. I just learned over the weekend that the tract was put into Tree Growth and now im looking to see how much its gonna cost me to get it out of that so i can build on there. hat may put the kabosh on the whole deal. Waiting to hear back from the township office sometime this week.
Elk cam is up & running. Nice bull.
That's too bad. Seems like there's a lot of that going on, whether for tax purposes or not understanding trees are a renewable resource that can be harvested sustainably. Hope you can fight you way through the red tape.
It would be nice if we could post pics on here. When is the elk hunt down in PA?? Soon??
First week of November.
