Specifically, do we go after one of the big QBs? The reason I ask is the new OC had lots of success with Jaylon Daniels, who is a dual threat guy. Also, at Buffalo he had another dual-threat in Tyree Jackson. I'd think that someone like Dillion Gabriel or Cam Ward would work extremely well in his system, wouldn't they? OR would Franklin say he doesn't want to rock the boat, so won't let him go after those kids?

It doesn't really make sense that we would hire an OC that could only coach a dual threat QB. I really believe that a good coach takes the players he has and makes the best use of them. We have two really good QBs and the one who started for us this year did a great job.

I didnt say he couldnt coach a pro-style passer, but why throw all your eggs on Allar who hasnt proven anything? Are we that afraid of making Allar unhappy? Why?

I have to disagree with Allar doing a great job. He was average, and bad against good defenses.

Maybe he'll

work with the dual threat QB we already have.

On DA defense, he was a first year true sophomore starter with average WR’s and imo average OL so everything ain’t on him. We are 10-2

So what, is he therefore incapable of competing with a transfer QB?

Gabriel is most likely following Lebby (again) to Mississippi State. Cam Ward is supposedly the top target of Ohio State. From what I have heard, the new OC is able to style his offenses around the players he has. He doesn’t try to fit a square peg in a round hole. With that being said, Pribula looks to be a more than adequate dual threat option. Also, apparently in the past, not sure where, the new OC used a 2 QB system. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a far different offense than we saw the last few years.

@roaminglion I’m always wanting competition you know that. I was saying all year give #9 some snaps. I believe most people are overreacting on the offense this year considering what I said about DA in the above post. Our last 2 QB’s got drafted in the NFL and both dudes struggled to beat Ohio St and Michigan and now everybody wants DA ass because he lost to 2 top 5 teams the same 2 teams we’ve been struggling to beat for 20 years lol..  Keep fight and try and find a way to win. These 2 teams Ohio St and Michigan are hard as hell to beat it’s no more simple than that. If Alabama and Georgia had to play ‘em every year like we do they’d have a hard time too. Just my opinion

Why are you saying "everyone wants DA's ass" to a post that stated we should go after a portal QB? Why is it okay to add WR's, DE's, OL's for competition and possible upgrades, but adding a portal QB means everyone hates the QB and he needs to go?

All that implies is adding QB competition is "going after his ass".
