I think the board knows what Big schools we don’t like so I’m asking the question, what Big 10 ( only) schools do you like or admire and for what reason. Not in any particular order unless you want to but mine are:
1. Purdue - the way they develop qb’s they are always entertaining, they give Ohio State fits and I appreciate how they honored Tyler Trent, their #1 fan.
2. Northwestern- I love their coach and due to their academic requirements, always work under constraints other big schools don’t.
3. Nebraska - they have a terrific fan base that are knowledgeable, travel well and very polite.
thoughts?

I agree with all three, though I'd put Nebraska first. I'm biased though, since my brother in law is an alum and I've been to some games there. The fans in Lincoln are amazing and very friendly.
My list:
Like: Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, Iowa (Never minded them)
Neither like nor dislike: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Rutgers
Dislike: Michigan State, Maryland
Hate: Ohio State
Hate more than the fury of 1000 suns: Michigan

I have to put Illinois on the dislike list after the way their coach came on campus to poach players during the sanction years. I realize that was years ago but one of my many skills is to hold grudges for years, I’m world class in that respect.
Yeah, I forgot about the Illinois poaching thing. But that butthead and his assistants are long gone.
I would probably rank them as:
1. Iowa - I like their uniforms even if they borrowed them from my favorite NFL team. I also liked Hayden Fry as a real character. Hayden even had Iowa's visiting locker room redecorated to one of Penn State's original colors. Pink urinals are a real fashion statement.
2. Northwestern - For the reasons previously mentioned.
3. Nebraska - They have been a class act for a long time, although they've kind of slipped a bit over the past 10-15 years.
I hate all of ‘em except Northwestern. I like the NW coach. I put all of ‘em right under the stinking Bullpups.
When I say hate I’m talking about locker room football hate lol. I don’t wish anything bad on the schools or football players but I do like watching them lose. I even pulled like hell for the Ohio st wrestler Snyder when he won the Olympics. I was a nervous wreck when he was out there lol

I completely understand that about Illinois
Am I the only one on here that likes PSU? LMFAO 🤣 🤣 🤣
Like - Indiana. Not sure why but they just seem to be like your little brother. Michigan (jim hairball), I can just feel the puke coming up my throat. Buttgers - (#ss hole fans). Things that were said to my niece & her friends (PSU students at the time) when they went to that cesspool NJ. for the game. Nobody should be exposed to that kind of language let alone young ladies. By the way I don't like them.
I think my man tsuga was at that game and I remember him saying it was brutal between the fan bases. It was the 2015 at Rutgers game. Is that right tsuga? Are the NJ folks as tough as they say?
NJ people must be tough. How else could you stand to live in the largest sewer in the Good Old USA.
@southern-psu-fan. Out of respect for Roam; I'll refrain from commenting on pwoplw from NJ.....LOL. I was indeed at that game and some of the stuff that was said towards PSU fans would make NL blush. I did my grad work at Rutgers back in the early 70's but from that game on, ive been ashamed to tell people i went there. The last time i heard crap like that was when i came home from Nam.
Besides PSU my favs would have to be:
Northwestern because of their academics.
Nebraska because of their classy fans.
Notre Dame because....oh wait......those pussys arent in a conference.......never mind.

Don't hold back Tsuga, there's a reason I didn't go to Rutgers and the same reason I never moved back to NJ. LMAO
The only reason they are on my "neither like or dislike" list is because they aren't good enough to care about.
Ok. Back in the early 1900's, NYC was given a major enema. All the shit flowed down to NJ and is atill there to this day
If anyone wanted to give the good old US of A an enema, Joisey is where to stick the hose!
