I might have thought PSU in trouble earlier in the year when Maryland won their first 4 games, then Iowa dismantle them and OSU embarrassed them. I think PSU's D capable of controlling their pass attack. Also, didn't they lose their big time receiver?
@southern-psu-fan that doesn't explain why both the offense and defensive lines got their butts kicked by Illinois. And it was a total butt kicking.
I won't be surprised if we lose this game and I also won't be surprised if we blow them out. PSU is just too unpredictable right now.

Penn State will destroy Maryland this weekend. Take Penn State to cover!! They have too much to play for, win out and they could still get a NY6 bowl.....they would be ranked in the top 10 at the end of the regular season. The only reason they are not projected now is a lot of people think they will split or lose both games against Mich and Mich State. But these are also the same people that said Ohio State would cover the 59 O/U by themselves.

@rip Bk, I don’t think they even practiced of Illinois I believe they practiced for Ohio St for 2 weeks thinking they could just show up and beat Illinois and it bit them in the butt. They were well prepared for Ohio St and looked lost against Illinois.

PSU loses this one, finish out the year with each man playing for his game time position for the remainder of the season and same goes for the coaching staff, lol.
@psu61 I believe the team we seen against Ohio St will be the one we see the rest of the year. I honestly believe they overlooked Illinois. Y’all saw the Illinois game and y’all saw the Ohio State game it was 2 different teams. It’s been a tough month lol
SPF; Regardless of the loss, the fact remains the same, team couldn't get three yards, on 9 separate straight attempts, that's pathetic considering playing IL. That blows my mind with a $6mill/yr HC. I mean some of you guys on the board here can call better plays and probably prep for the event.
And that OT model is BS. Play a quarter, 2 timeouts per side; either win it or go in the books with a tie.
Yeah, well, I don't want to see THAT team either! A QB that fumbles in Ohio State's territory, A running back that fumbles immediately after a defensive take away, a QB that throws an ugly no needed interception in a very close game vs a top ranked team, a FG kicker that misses a FG in a close game, an OC that calls 7 running plays to start out a big game when his team can't run a ball, a defense that gives up two big plays to start the second half......not the team I want to see play Mich and Michigan State or Rutgers and Maryland for that matter!
LOL.....I know what you mean Southern! Just still a little upset with the performance of the last three games. Players and coaches just can't get it together one for one complete game solid performance! But I do agree with you. I think we will see a better overall performance this weekend. Too late for that magical year, but they finished 2020 with heart and I think they will do the same again this year!

@mtnittanylion l understand your frustrations but Ohio St had some bad plays to. The team played good Ohio St was just better because they have better players. They did come ready to play and that’s all you can ask for if you come up short it is what it is you just ain’t good enough you have to keep working.
